bojole Posted May 20, 2015 I have another theory about that. I think you are stressed and that means that your brain hemispheres are not balanced. Try juggling. Check my posts here - http://thedaobums.com/topic/18212-de-switch-your-brain/?p=625136
bax44 Posted May 20, 2015 Radical undoing has some good exercises for social anxiety.. Look them up on youtube, lot of body based exercises that release tension they are very good, also bioenergetics.. These all being you more into your body. One interesting one that seems to work magic for the exact issue you describe is gagging yourself. Yes I know how it sounds but doing it 5-6 times will release tension not only in your throat but deep in your solar plexus. Also screaming into a pillow does the trick too, suddenly it's like things open up and the tension is gone. Doing the exercises immediately before a stressful situation I find works best. Yasjua Posted May 20, 2015 The tongue is trapped in planning, strategizing, assessment of future. The tongue is a sensual muscle. Warm, wet, happy, diverse in function. If tongue is trapped in mind it is not rooted appropriately in the body. Tongue may also be part of our social and sensual self. Social self needn't plan, strategize, or assess, but simply be present with the warmth of human contact. Tongue should relax into body, not try to be things it isn't. Talking excessively in the mind can use up tongue's energy, so it is not available to serve the heart.
bojole Posted May 20, 2015 If you can't be playful, your right hemisphere is suppressed. Anxiety - this means left hemisphere is too active. This is what I learned myself.
Perceiver Posted May 21, 2015 I used to suffer from social anxiety, but was cured by a psychologist. Now i do public speaking and enjoy it. So here's some advice from me: you can do all the exercises you want, and its not gonna help. Because social anxiety is caused by unconscious thought patterns. You need a cognitive behavioural psychologist. Best of luck
flowconduit Posted May 21, 2015 You might have a thyroid issue, thyroid is the gland related to throat chakra Most thyroid issues are caused by iodine deficiency which is quite a common condition I would advise you to buy kelp asap and consume enough of it to get 1 mg of iodine a day
