skydog Posted January 24, 2014 So apparantely the way of heaven wants people to have challenges and struggle so they can learn and grow their hearts etc etc Maybe one shouldnt intefere from a heavenly soul like perspective. BUT I am earth too Earth is heaven too I am a human too I am the heart too So Why should one only obey the drives of one sphere of reality When there is so much suffering and pain in the world of people Like humans today suffer with many things and what if everyone thought, oh I shouldnt change this because it might intefere with peoples destiny well i dunno, Im kind of feeling thats pretty strange because Im a human with human needs too To neglect ones humanity and heart and earthly needs to only adhere to the way of heaven seems wrong Isnt earth and respecting the earth and the heart as important as respecting the heaven Well I guess if something feels right in ones heart then it should be done. How does one even know 100% what the laws of heaven and destiny are, as it is mostly based on intuition, many things that have been invented have been invented due to people having earthly needs for things, what about technology, business etc.. hmm
ThisLife Posted January 25, 2014 (edited) This post gave me a sudden 'deja vu' of another similarly wonderful example I came across a few years ago in a marvellous Chat Group I used to hang out in called Buddhachat'. I'll copy and paste the original post and the inspired reply, (written by a miserable but sharp-witted chap who chose the pen name Stuka)... just for a glimpse into the dynamics that exist in other chatrooms different to our beloved Taobums here : * * let the 4 arise I’m looking to meet someonesplit of understanding of suffering3 noble truthwith winds of this universeaging fire strongly dissolve in small perceptionand face the suffering of noble truthaging and deathdestruction of ignorance * REPLY : Re: let the 4 arise This stream of consciousness shitis a dull tedious swim in a cesspool of vagueness.Speak plainly and quit twisting the Buddha’s teachingsas if they were word gamesor piss off Edited January 25, 2014 by ThisLife
z00se Posted January 25, 2014 all 3 are important, thats why the 3 are often talked about. Focusing on one will automatically bring about development of the other 2. Concentration on one brings power like a high charged cloud discharging a lightening bolt, but embracing all 3 is balance and enlightenment as it is so frequenty talked about. Only you can feel the wonders of the balance, but the power can be put on show. Its like the difference between the rat (or whatever it is) teacher and the turtle master in kung fu panda. I love that movie!
The Prisoner Posted January 25, 2014 The rules are easy. If nothing happens, you are strong and good. If you do wrong you get hurt. (There is no separation of mind and body) One Heart! :) :)
