mike 134 Posted May 22, 2014 Does anyone have experience with taking supplements and eating the right foods for libido ? Been experimenting with poses and postures forever now with ambivalent results. Maybe taking pills is what I need. I'm thinking about... Fish oil, super high doses, like 12 pills a day ZMA (combo of Zinc monomethionine and aspartate and Magnesium Aspartate) Lots of blueberries (antioxidants) Dark chocolate (flavinoids) Hoping to get some libido gains without messing up my sleep.

soaring crane Posted May 22, 2014 When you write 'practices', what exactly do you mean? Standing still (Zhan Zhuang) with open arms and the palms directed toward the groin for extended periods of time, usually has a pretty profound effect on the libido. But it seems to have failed you, unless that isn't what you're talking about? But, the right partner is probably the most important factor, no? And breaking through blockages?
Cheshire Cat Posted May 22, 2014 Does anyone have experience with taking supplements and eating the right foods for libido ? Been experimenting with poses and postures forever now with ambivalent results. Maybe taking pills is what I need. I'm thinking about... Postures open qi channels in a way that the body produces more (sexual) energy to fill the new routes. When you end the posture, qi channels return to their normal size squeezing the Qi and thus one feels that he has a stronger libido.

mike 134 Posted May 22, 2014 Hey thx for the precise diet Andrei. I know exactly what you are talking about, the Orgasmic Diet by Marrena Lindberg. I just purchased the vitamins today, will give it a go. Standing still (Zhan Zhuang) with open arms and the palms directed toward the groin for extended periods of time, usually has a pretty profound effect on the libido. But it seems to have failed you, unless that isn't what you're talking about? You mean like this dude ? ummmm, that doesn't do anything. Seriously, how in the world is that supposed to produce ANY sort of physiologic effect ?? You're just standing there, knees slightly bent, pretending you're hugging a big tree or whatever. I mean, really ??? Maybe you're supposed to put dumbbells in your hands and do some squats or something ??
Andrei Posted May 23, 2014 (edited) Yes, she is the lady. Maybe more like this will boost some testosterone: Edited May 23, 2014 by Andrei
mike 134 Posted May 23, 2014 You know, I'm miscing right now and I see this thread where somebody claims his libido is way up from doing squats 4x/week. Is there a connection here? In both exercises you are working out the quad muscles (obviously much more so doing squats with heavy weights). http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=162058153
bax44 Posted May 23, 2014 I'd try out some bioenergetic exercises.. Specifically the bow... Here's a good example http://vimeo.com/m/12751836 Not exactly sure how this works but it definitely released a ton of tension and makes you feel very centered and grounded.. In my experience the "vibration" which occurs is mostly sexual energy. Give it a shot. Practice everyday for best results. There's also tons more exercises obviously but the bow will give you a good intuitive feel for it.
bax44 Posted May 23, 2014 Edit: the link didnt work.. Google "bioenergetics the bow" by dr glazer.
bax44 Posted May 23, 2014 And fish oils in super large doses can have the opposite effect of what you seek. Just throwing that out there.
Andrei Posted May 23, 2014 Yes, squats with weights comparable to your body weight, and don't do lower than Jackie Chan there in that picture cause you will damage your knees. Also should wear a belt so that you don't damage your lower spine and herniate a disk or the peritoneum.
dawei Posted May 23, 2014 I highly recommend tonics for the kidney. You will find a difference... http://www.chinesenaturalherbs.com/herb_pages/gejie.asp I can't find the actual Ginseng pills I would recommend but these are close... if you don't just buy some roots online and soak them for tea.... http://www.chinesenaturalherbs.com/herb_pages/panginsengcaps_30.asp http://www.chinesenaturalherbs.com/herb_pages/ginscaps_red.asp
Aetherous Posted May 23, 2014 Doing full squats will beat everything, except stuff like Viagra (which no one should take). You just have to do stick with it for like 5 months consistently, before seeing true results.
bax44 Posted May 23, 2014 Well Viagra doesn't really increase libido.. Just makes things easier lol. Why do you say no one should take pde-5 inhibitors? Plenty of science coming out now that are saying they have plenty of other benefits besides just for ED.
Andrei Posted May 23, 2014 (edited) You can take natural substances that have the same effect like viagra. For example melon juice, you can find lots of recipes on youtube. Peas are high in arginine. Arginine will increase the nitric oxide which is the active substance of viagra. Also if you have body hair or some baldness, this means you convert the testosterone into DHT which is bad, I don't remember what to eat to inhibit DHT production I think they are called alpha-inhibitors, I think it was zinc, all nuts have Zinc, also seafood is rich in zinc. To boost progesterone which is the testosterone precursor you should take some turmeric and walnuts. In fact fish oil is precursor of prostaglandins and cholesterol (animal fat) is the precursor of progesterone which is the precursor of estrogen and testosterone. Also almonds are rich in calcium, I think all nuts are rich in calcium magnesium and zinc. You need calcium, magnesium and zinc to make all those transformations from the precursor to the final hormones. I remembered: Saw Palmetto - Herbal DHT Blocker This is probably the best known natural dht blocker. Studies have shown that saw palmetto is an effective anti-androgen. It acts in a similar way that propecia does. Firstly it lowers levels of DHT in the body by blocking 5 alpha-reductase. Secondly Saw Palmetto block receptor sites on cell membranes required for cells to absorb DHT. So it is good to boost the testosterone but is not good to convert it into DHT, this is the main culprit of baldness and prostate problems later in life. http://www.artofmanliness.com/2013/01/18/how-to-increase-testosterone-naturally/ Edited May 23, 2014 by Andrei

dogson Posted May 23, 2014 This is my testosterone maniac protocol: 1. get sunlight on the perenium for 20 minutes. Ideally skip a shower for 24 hours to let the D3 metabolize. 2. colostrum w/ frozen blueberries, 2 or 3 times per day. build up to heaping about 2TBSP colostrum powder on. this is my "breakfast cereal" 3. pine pollen, 2-3teaspoons a couple times a day 4. insanely hard workouts, usually daily. i do one warm-up set, between 8 and 15 reps, and then i'm doing high intensity just to stimulate the hormonal response moreso than pull an arnold in the gym. typical gym session for me is like 20 minutes, i superset everything - usually three body parts in rapid succession. 5. retain semen 6. dragon herbs ant extract - ant has an enormous amount of naturally ocurring zinc 7. oysters, uni, cleanest sashimi i can find (no tuna, ever) 8. deep breathing outside, higher altitude the better 9. coconut water smoothies, with coconut flesh blended in (you can get raw coconut flesh in frozen packs now, the stuff is amazing) 10. deer antler (I like surthrival's elk antler b/c it's sourced very humanely) 11. various jing herbs in tea or chocolate smoothies - ho shu wu, astragalus, ashwagandha, maca, 12. a metric fuck-ton of raw chocolate bars. longevity warehouse, sacred chocolate, fearless, lulus, tons of amazing brands out there now. 13. honey - pure enzymes - and if you wanna get serious, bee pollen and royal jelly. black belt level stuff. take TINY amounts. like the tip of your pinky finger. you seriously don't need much. 14. ginseng - at least 7 years old plz, immature ginseng doesn't have the immunomodulating / dual directional saponin activity which is why it causes hypertension in some people. it only jacks you up, real ginseng should be able to stimulate you or chill you out depending on what you need. adaptogenic herbs do whatever you need them to do dood i'm taking some right now this is awesome and the obvious one - hydrate - with the best water you can get. spring water in glass that you gather yourself is the best water possible, btw. www.findaspring.com just add in this stuff however you can, for as long as you can. certain of these will be the X-factor. for me, it's the sunlight exposure. 1 session and i'm buck wild again like a 16 year old kid. dragonherbs.com - ant extract, ginseng longevitywarehouse.com - anything you want therawfoodworld.com - royal jelly. the only overnight it with ice packs to ensure it's still live. surthrival.com - elk antler, pine pollen findaspring.com - go get it! holiest moments of my life have been gathering wild spring water at the source. disclaimer - raw food enthusiasts are wackjobs, like any subculture if you take it to the extreme, it's extreme. i mention these companies b/c i've used their stuff and i find it to be of very high quality. i'm also young and take more of this crap than i need, but i'm demented strong because this stuff is in my life. at the end of the day if you're doing this, it crowds out the crap you DON'T want in your diet. books - the natural testosterone plan - steven harrod buhner. warning, will tell you that all beer is anti-testosterone due to the hops, i've always hated beer b/c i have a lot of yin energy, this cleared it up for me. way of the superior man - david deida. the bitchslap we all need to man up, from a tantric perspective autobiography of a bodybuilder - arnold schwarzenegger - very inspiring because you see that he isn't just a jarhead, he was extremely relentless and strategic to achieve his goals. applicable to anything. secret note: i cross-reference reddit's r/nofap community with taobums and i think it's amazing both places talk about superpowers that come from retaining semen. from totally opposite perspectives. it's real, it's just about how bad you want it and what you're willing to give up.

I mean, really ??? Maybe you're supposed to put dumbbells in your hands and do some squats or something ?? It does more than you think physiologically. You just need to read about cell respiration; and learn some scientific facts about how the muscles work with the oxygen and the nutrients to give one the internal energy. I do ZZ and Tai Ji daily which give me lots of energy like the thing mentioned in the thread. Btw you don't need to know it and you'll still get the benefits if you just do it; but it's better if you understand what is going on inside your body to appreciate it. It works for me and I understand how my body functions internally. Indeed, my libido is very high. One of my friends had advised me to stop my practice to avoid such high sexual desire. bax44 Posted May 23, 2014 Second the sunlight recommendation. Someone recommended saw palmetto..DO NOT TAKE... This stuff is an "anti androgen".. Like finasteride.. Anti androgen... Think about it. Dht is not the bad guy the media etc portrays it. Do some research dht is crucial for a mans libido and they are finding estrogen is in fact the main problem in prostate issues. You can find lots of anectodal reports of guys totally losing function on same palmetto and other anti androgens. I have personal experience w the stuff. Stay far away. C T Posted May 23, 2014 A lot of Chinese men are quite fascinated with retaining their virility, and will swear by the consumption of double-boiled fresh ox balls, and sadly, dried tiger's penis. They also believe drinking snake's blood and eating snake's bile offer great boosts to their libido as well as prolonging life energies. Basically, any 'heaty' foods will up a man's libido. In Malaysia, the less extreme things to eat for this purpose would be mutton, durians, ginseng, various types of old ginger, many types of spices, for example, cumin, nutmeg, cloves, cinnamon and cassia bark, sea delicacies such as abalone, blood clams, sea cucumber and oysters are supposed to be very good for building sperm quality, and, though not easily found, the meat of the wild boar is believed to be highly nutritious for men as well. In Europe, from a chef's viewpoint, i think the Mediterranean diet is good at promoting men's sexual health, with diet emphasis being put on eating lots of seafood, nuts, oils, olives and quality wines. Personally, i find a daily supplement of flax, sesame, olive and borage oils, coupled with blackstrap molasses plus plenty of supergreens (wheat grass, kale, broccoli, coriander, parsley, celery) and berries (blueberries, black/redcurrant, raspberries, mulberries, cherries) do a fine job in helping me to boost libido and general vigour. My preferred method is to simply blend everything (whatever's there at the market) together and drink the stuff. At 54, pleased to say im still performing like in my mid 20s. Of course, meditative and tantric practices play a part too. Best of luck with your experiments!
