Donnel Posted June 17, 2014 (edited) Hello, Shifu Jiang has decided to allow Grady (his Tudi or "indoor student") to come to Australia, like previous trips to the US, to teach the waigong or "external training/skills/methods" of Yijinjing Gengmenpai. The seven day long workshop will be held this coming Septempber in Melbourne, Victoria. We need a minimum of 5 people to confirm the workshop and tuition for the week will be $2000. Specific dates and accommodation for those attending have not yet been organised as planning for the trip is only in the early stages. Having one of the very few opportunities thus far to learn authentic Shaolin Yijinjing Gengmenpai training methods outside of China is incredible and very exciting. PM me if you are interested and I will link you to our private forum to discuss it further. Feel free to ask any questions and I will do my best to answer them. Goldleaf Posted June 23, 2014 (edited) Hi Donnel, I live near Melbourne. Is there a link to more information about shaolin Yijinjing Gengmenpain.? Is it easy to learn just once in Melbourne and then practice on your own, or will it require additional tuition (and if so, will he reside in Australia in future)? Has Grady taught this method before, and what are some of the things that particulary exmplify him and his Sifu's training? No disrespect intended with these questions, I have been burned too many times by methods which claim a lot, but do very little, and am only after tangible results now. Donnel Posted June 24, 2014 (edited) Hi Goldleaf, As far as I know, the waigong aspect of this art does not require additional workshops. There is, however, more material to be learned in China if you wish; the neigong or "internal training" of the system. Grady has indeed taught this method several times before in the US. If you are after tangible results, Yijinjing Gengmenpai training will certainly yield them if you put in the work. Please have a look at a few of Shifu's youtube videos as they will give you a better feel for the art than I can; https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCQMM7M_0SWmlgS6NBLES2ow Edited June 24, 2014 by Donnel
