Did anyone notice how iridescent our skin is?

I hold my hands out and let the sun shine on it, hold my hands closer to my eyes so that I see more of the surface, of the skin. And I see between each miniscule wrinkle of each finger of my open palm how iridiscent every inch glows. Shimmering in all colors like we know it from looking at a pearl or the inside of many sea shells.

 

Have you ever noticed? If not, go do it now and see for yourself.
