I'm in San Francisco to see my Swami Tues/Wed and I need to get back home on Thursday to catch up on business, otherwise I'd totally go.

 

But I've given myself a little motivational deal... if I sell three houses from now till then on non-charity type clients (where I actually make some money), then I feel that I deserve more time off and I'll pop down to LA for the weekend. The goal is a reach, but it's very possible. Then I'll be able to see what's up first hand.

 

In any case, I'm assuming you'll come back with a positive report and I'll have to make it out on another occasion.

 

At first I thought it best not to mix and match lineages but my Swami is pretty chill and Max sounds easy going too, so it shouldn't be a big deal.

Max is a Tantric Yogin as well but he does not teach that stuff to people. Only his students learn these methods. Combined with Kunlun, the Tantric methods will blow your top. And your partner will become very faithful as things get very interesting, energetically.

I forget how far I got. I like to think 40,000ish prostrations, but they were like pulling teeth. I never took to it like some of the other practitioners. Kalu Rinpoche did some ungodly high number every day of his life. I felt pretty lame. Good luck with them...

Thanks Yoda, I'm making haste slowly, so at the current rate I'd have caught up with you in about a year.

 

The fact is that he IS a Lama. So he can use that name if he wants. If you would like him to teach the complete Tibetan system he can.

This is the last time I'm going to bang on about this. Even though I take Cam's point that Max can possibly operate outside any framework, someone capable of teaching a complete system should certainly be known by other recognised lineage holders of that same tradition. So while it's not entirely practical to stick rigidly to the traditional Tibetan safeguard of checking out a potential teacher for twelve years, anyone seriously interested in studying the 'complete' Tibetan system with a teacher of unknown credentials could do a lot worse than write to the Office of the Dalai Lama for verification.

Little1.. I cant help wondering, have you experienced pure bliss?

 

I would be interested to know if you remain unattracted to it, despite experiencing it.

 

For myself, I am attracting to it. I believe in it as hugely significant as a spiritual experience.

 

I know a knowledgable yogi (Guru Santiago Dobles) that lined up the characteristics of the lower stages of Kan & Li to the lower stages of Samadhi. The lower stages of Samadhi have bliss as a characteristic.

 

A full Kundalini awakening is supposed to be blissful at the end. I'm wondering if it is half of an awakening because of the Zhen Wu depiction of the snake and the turtle "KNOCKING BOOTS".

If that is the case then you would really enjoy studying with him. He is all about breaking free from the unnecessary structure of the past and bringing this stuff out in a very informal way to people. Some people can't accept that, and unfortunately they will miss out on the opportunity to learn things they will most likely not have a chance to otherwise learn.

 

Given the name of Sifu Max's web site. I'm wondering if the Heavenly Pool that was used to choose a Chinese Emperor actually does or did exist.
