Sebastian Posted August 8, 2014 Hey All, After your individual closing exercises, do you do certain things to settle the qi ? Like going for a walk, stretch, go gardening or whatever ? I find that walking in place and swinging the arms gently for a few minutes settles the qi for me and makes me feel more full of energy. Thanks, Sebby PS: Note that I mean after "active" (moving) qigong sessions here. I know meditation is a good follow-up, but I mean when you transition from qigong to every day life. GrandmasterP Posted August 8, 2014 (edited) Before I retired ( YAY. )Monday through Friday I went to work after cultivating. Now I take the dogs for a walk. As far as 'warming down' from cultivation, with Baduanjin that's unnecessary as the last two moves in our method are specifically designed to effect 'warming down'. 7 = 'Offer an egg ( glaring)'. 8 = ' Revitalise Qi" Edited August 8, 2014 by GrandmasterP
soaring crane Posted August 13, 2014 Thanks, any routines in particular for you ? Sorry, I think I only posted that comment as way of marking the thread, and left for vacation right afterwards. See a thread in my ppf about closing routine. Add vigorous self-massage, focused chiefly on the openings of the body.
ChiDragon Posted August 14, 2014 Lower your arms slowly and exhale the last breath from the last session. Then, walk away to go back to your daily routine.
