Tibetan_Ice Posted August 13, 2014 This seems to be quite the book so far. It really does a good job of explaining "no self". I wonder if the content of the work is legit, or if it has been embellished. After all, I've always heard that Buddha did not ever answer the question of whether or not there is a self. http://www.buddhisttexts.org/ebook---the-vajra-paramita-sutra.html Any opinions on this work from someone whom has read it?
Sebastian Posted August 13, 2014 Thanks a lot, I'll check this one out, looks interesting. One book I seriously loved is Nan Huai Chin's commentary of this sacred text http://www.amazon.com/Diamond-Sutra-Explained-Nan-Huai-Chin/dp/0971656126
GrandmasterP Posted August 13, 2014 (edited) Diamond Sutra is popular with zennists because it teaches that one should rely upon one's innate Buddha wisdom, which, it says; is as solid, sharp, and brilliant as a diamond - hence 'diamond' sutra. There are several versions out there, here's the one that the zennists favour...
