For the first week you will be restricted to ten posts per day but after that you can post as much as you like. Also, until you’ve posted fifteen times in the forums, you’ll be a “Junior Bum” with somewhat restricted access and will be allowed only two private messages per day.

I see. Judging from the post limit and the mandatory introduction, I guess the forum is occasionally attacked by spammers from time to time.

Sadly, we have been. They were able to get past our old system and dump garbage posts all over. Sorry for the limitations, but its helped keep the forum clean from spambots.

not necessarily spammers in the classic sense, but that's close enough, I guess.
