Silent Answers Posted September 8, 2014 (edited) Happy Mid Autumn Festival everyone! Now's (or it will be for those of you in other time zones) a great time to meditate under the full moon. She's looking super bright from where I'm sitting Just scared the life out of someone who thought they had this spot to themselves haha. Silent Answers Posted September 9, 2014 Had the lanterns out for the kids.. And yes plenty of moon cakes haha. You end up with so many at this time of year! Too many to consume...(unless they're the ice cream ones, in which case they WILL get eaten) GMP: It was actually Mid Autumn Festival last night according to the Chinese . It's related to, but not really all about the solstice. On the 15th day of the 8th lunar month it's held to mark the end of harvest on a full moon. I think there's another holiday for the actual solstice, which would be another good opportunity to moon gaze and meditate.
