VeeCee Posted September 14, 2007 I am certainly not a porn afficienado (sp?), but what little I have seen is primarily concerned with getting the viewer from point A to point B as quickly as possible. Many times there is no story at all. Even the female-centered porn that I have seen has the slimmest of story lines. I have read a fair amount of erotica, and personally I find it more stimulating (leaves more to the imagination). (dark glasses, but no trench coat) V. Cameron Posted September 14, 2007 Although I don't find porn all that erotic so I don't watch it very much. The thing that gives me the most orgasms is watching The Colbert Report. Yes, I beleive Trunk is a big fan of that show as well

witch Posted September 14, 2007 And so you shall...when your Spirit would rather be searching for the Tao...you may not enjoy it as much then...fixation (read: neural pathway conditioning) on the erotic in Life leads to the Sidpa Bardo after Life...and rebirth...typically in a human form more basal than the one that their (erotically fixated) Spirit previously occupied. You makes your choices and you Live with them...and re-Live...and re-Live...and... I do not believe in reincarnation or an afterlife of any kind. I make my choices and I live with them now. I have already found the Tao accidentally--I have had a crown chakra orgasm and have been emptied and felt the loss of self. I will not be a basal human in the next life; I choose to be as animal as I can in this one, my only one. I like men's orgasms and their bodies and their cum. This energy isn't for being shot out of the top of the head; that's a protective body mechanism. This energy is for sharing with another person. I am grateful for your help, very grateful, but then again I helped you so we are even. I am angry! Angry like this lady! Don't tell me about my spirit. Trunk Posted September 14, 2007 First: your new avatar is delightfully clever. I do not ...You know, there are lots of different configurations and stages of the path. That you rebel is - at least partly - an affirmation your own unique set-up, how it is right now, and how that's groovin' with life around you. It's unique, duh. My shing-yi teacher would say, such & such exercise is a good thing "for you for now". That's part of the harmony path. I'd also say that it's worth while to know about the more unyielding aspects of the path, and artistically surf how all that comes together for you specifically. xenolith Posted September 15, 2007 I do not believe in reincarnation or an afterlife of any kind. OK. I make my choices and I live with them now. I know you do. It's the after now that I'm concerned about for you. I have already found the Tao accidentally--I have had a crown chakra orgasm and have been emptied and felt the loss of self. Based on my experience I find it exceedingly difficult to believe that your stated experience of CCO is possible. When coupled with your now stated dis-belief in an afterlife all I can say is that you most certainly did not experience a CCO...for it is not the loss of self that one experiences, it is precisely the opposite...it's the loss of ego that one experiences, thereby revealing one's self. Furthermore, as the Tibetan Book of the Dead points out about the "the thousand petaled lotus called Sahasrara Padma" (CCO) "through it the sushumnanadi" (vagus nerve) "has it's exit, through which consciousness normally goes out from the body at death". Based on my experience of viewing through this exit before death by means of CCO it is clear that an afterlife exists...and that it is our electrical plumbing (read: neural pathways) that determines what awaits us there. There's more information that's relevant to you specifically that I've already alluded to that I could elucidate on. But I need to draw my attention now to my Wife. I will not be a basal human in the next life; I choose to be as animal as I can in this one, my only one. I like men's orgasms and their bodies and their cum. It's in response to statements such as these that I offer you the comments that I have. Were your statement above to refer to a man (i.e. singular) it would be one of beauty. This energy isn't for being shot out of the top of the head; that's a protective body mechanism. This energy is for sharing with another person. Much misunderstanding here. The energy isn't shot out of the top of the head, it's showered through the body (another indication to me that you haven't experienced CCO). Forget the protective body mechanism idea, completely wrong context. Yes, it is for sharing with another person! In a way, I'm doing so now with you. And the Internet. I'll certainly have to refrain to do so at some point. The Love sink is too big. And too unresponsive. I am grateful for your help, very grateful, but then again I helped you so we are even. What you fail to recognize my Dear is that I'm still helping you. I am angry! Angry like this lady! Don't tell me about my spirit. Hmm, yes, I see that you are. What does that tell you about you? That lady reminds me of my mother on her more compassionate days. Love (guides one to the Tao) xeno

witch Posted September 15, 2007 All right. I came here to learn things rather than teach things, but if you insist! First off, yes, I did have a CCO. Second, you know it might be different for girls. Third, just because the body produces a sensation doesn't mean that sensation is real. Sure I felt the oneness of all things and the loss of self and the "afterlife" in the community of all spirits, but I bet I could get the same effect with the right combination of drugs. That experience isn't tied to a particular religion or set of religious beliefs, it's a product of the body's nervous system. How the person interprets the experience is colored by their religious beliefs. So of course my gut instinct tells me there is an afterlife after having that experience, and my gut instinct is usually smarter than my rational mind. But I'm taking a wait and see attitude, and just experiencing life following my animal instincts. Taoists might be cleverer and more efficient and focused than other religions on teaching its adherents to produce these sensations, but Christian monastic communities also had these experiences as their aim, with a very different interpretation of what the sensations meant. I'm a witch, I have very different goals than you, very different beliefs. I am on a different path. Frankly I've been neglecting my path somewhat because I had something I had to do first to help others, but I'm done with that and now can concentrate on the important things. The first thing I have to do is regain my physical health. I poured out a little too much, in my working, and still I don't know if it was enough--but it's done. Now I can be selfish. By the way, that picture is of Ekajati. I think she has her hair tied to keep from having CCO's, and instead her third eye is open and waiting, as is her vulva, while her green ruffle shows the tremendous heart energy pouring from her. I think she has her hair tied to keep from having CCO's, and instead her third eye is open and waiting, as is her vulva, while her green ruffle shows the tremendous heart energy pouring from her. This comment on Ekajati's image was taken from the book The Crystal and the way of Light "Ekajati whose name means 'One Single Birth', is the principle Guardian of the Dzogchen teachings. She manifests with one single eye, one single tooth, one single tuft of hair, and one single breast. A personification of the essentially non-dual nature of primordial energy, she does not allow duality to develop. She is seen dancing on the corpse of the conquered ego, wearing (as Simhamukha does) a flayed human skin, and a crown of five skulls representing the five passions that have been overcome and which can therefore be worn as ornaments. She wears a necklace of human skulls, and wields in one hand, as a scepter, the corpse of a perverter of the teachings. In the other hand she grasps a vanquished demon, and the heart of an enemy." Trunk Posted September 15, 2007 I'm a witch, I have very different goals than you, very different beliefs. I'm pretty sure no one here has a full view I feel lucky when I can grab & see a piece of the schematic someone tore it up and threw it to the wind it does seem to me, however that there's the relative (individual) and the absolute and that how each person weaves that relationship is unique, and the same. that's the dragon and tiger of it ~~~ (that was the poetic version of "what do we know?" and "you have your own relationship to the Divine")

witch Posted September 16, 2007 Thoughtful commentary to follow. Love (guides the Spirit). xeno Well, there are four kinds of love--erotic, familial, friendly and altruistic (love of one's fellow man). I know Taoists, at least Taoist monks, purposely eschew the first three and concentrate on the fourth. I hit all four. I'm going to rest on my laurels now a while for altruistic love, I'm very giving with friendly love, I could be a better mother and daughter but I do try, and as for erotic, aside from screwing the living daylights out of Betty Dodson's boyfriend for science, for the past two years I have only had orgasms for two men and that includes masturbation. When it comes to erotic love, I think it basically is this pouring out of sexual energy.
Spectrum Posted September 16, 2007 (edited) Xeno, your thoughtful replies are of value. People read what you write. It's hard to validate subjectively objective experience and but as humans we continue to communicate. Just don't stuff it. Dialog helps things settle, and can kick up dust sometimes that needed to be cleared anyways. Witch, get well soon. Church is only on Sundays. Peregrino Posted September 19, 2007 I too must say I am very touched at everything that this thread has stirred up! Isn't that one of the hypothetical etymologies for "masturbation"-- mas (more) + turbation (stirring up)? Depending on your needs or frame of mind, that "stirring up" can be a good thing or a bad thing! All I can say is, this thread has been good for me--has it been good for any of you too? Ian Posted September 20, 2007 it does seem to me, however that there's the relative (individual) and the absolute and that how each person weaves that relationship is unique, and the same. Yes. Yes. Oh my goodness me yes. It makes me think about my parents' former dog. Every time my parents wanted to go out without the dog, they would wait until the last moment and put down a bowl with a few dog sweets on the other side of the kitchen. Every time the dog would agonise for a micro-second, then rush to the bowl and try to gobble down the sweets in time to get back to the door before it closed. Every time she would fail, often thudding against the back of the closing door. And something about that scene, the way the dog freely chose every time, and yet was utterly predictable, makes me think that there exists a perspective from which humanness can be viewed just the way canineness could be viewed by us then. A perspective from which all our different human behaviours are just as typical and just as similar as a billion different dogs finding different ways to dash for the sweet bowl. 三江源 Posted September 20, 2007 Is porn supposed to be the bowl of sweets? Is that because it makes you feel sick and not properly fed, afterwards?
Ian Posted September 20, 2007 Is porn supposed to be the bowl of sweets? Is that because it makes you feel sick and not properly fed, afterwards? Nothing whatever to do with porn. Was responding to Trunk's more general post with an extremely general one about just general humans and their everything. Spiritual paths and all that. If you go back to the context of the bit of the thread where Trunk's post was, then it may seem more appropriate.
