Golden Crane Posted December 23, 2014 Greetings! I have been training in qigong, taiji, kung fu, and daoist meditation now for 2 1/2 years after dropping out of the world of academia. I have a Ph.D in philosophy, but most of my study was in Western philosophy, specifically environmental aesthetics--the study of our responses, judgments, and experiences regarding the beauty of nature. Frustrated with a broken and unhealthy higher education system, I quit teaching academic philosophy and now I am training toward instructor certification in qigong and Yang style taiji. I train about 15 hours a week and lead beginner classes in qigong and taiji fundamentals. Eventually I want to run an internal martial arts school with an emphasis on daoist philosophy and meditation. I'm looking forward to discussing with you!
