I have received my final warning from another chat site and am about to be banned if ; I tell another obscure joke, post a poem, or a picture or a link to a picture. or if I debate or question anyone else's opinion. (How the hell do I tell what is obscure to someone ... you guys seem to get my jokes and puns straight away ... and sometimes trump them . Also they said if I FEEL this is too harsh I will get a 2 week suspension. I mean ... WTF ... I can change my behaviour to comply with restrictive and dictatorial censorship but to be told I have to FEEL a certain way about it I get a 2 week suspension ! Also no notification is given there within the posts , and no talking to a mod about a decision. WOW! Also they have banned me from answering posts in details and putting up evidence to show why I might think something is incorrect . I am putting this up to (well, okay, bitch, but also to) applaud the liberal way the mods run this site and the intelligent effort they put into it. (and the way they seem to handle my honesty) The other site (and the mods ) are not that intelligent ( perhaps due to banning of intellectual approaches and evidence based criticism ... I mean even my warning from the Mod is badly written and partially incomprehensible) Coming here I feel like I have come from North Korea to Australia. Thanks guys its a pleasure to be here. I know sometimes your mod approach might be hard and take some time and work but it has made this place a great site ... and a place I can actually LEARN things from and INCREASE my development and widen my outlook by coming here ... so thanks to all concerned for that too (and they got really crappy old software where you cant post an image or a vid or have a post / edit control box .... ) Edited January 6, 2015 by Nungali 13 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

thelerner Posted January 8, 2015 There was some early insanity. One of the founders went by the handle Ron Jeremy, was quite the practitioner of crazy wisdom and that cut both ways. When he'd get angry he'd lash out IN FULL CAPS RAGE swearing and posting pornographic pictures at the object of his scorn. Good guy normally, but without restraint when angry. Bad begets worse and creates multiple flame wars. These days they're put out very quickly. Maybe too quickly. But the site has thrived. The mods and administrator are always looking for the right level and its not easy.
