sean Posted February 17, 2015 Hi there bums, Besides getting a glorious new Yin Wood Goat in our header, you may have noticed we've also gotten a name change. To explain, very simply, in the last year I've been getting a bit more serious with my Mandarin studies. The mishmash of defunct Wade-Giles and modern Pinyin was really getting to me. Apologies to anyone with strong attachments to the T. It may take some getting used to, but I hope it's a change for the better. Maybe one that encourages us all, at least in some small way, to more deeply appreciate the rich language underlying much of our interests here. Let me know your thoughts and feelings. And especially please report any glitches or anomalies. Thank you! *deep bow* Sean
KenBrace Posted February 17, 2015 (edited) Yes it will definitely take some getting used to but whatever works. The site is going to be screwed up on google for a while though. Edited February 17, 2015 by KenBrace

dawei Posted February 17, 2015 Yes it will definitely take some getting used to but whatever works. The site is going to be screwed up on google for a while though. I am a pedantic one for using Dao instead of Tao... but the original wording did works it way into my heart When our business website changed names, there are redirection methods which can be employed for quite a while... I suspect members will be over it before google

Cheshire Cat Posted February 17, 2015 Now I need a nickname-change. I selected DAO rain TAO in a dramatic outburst of creativity: my nick in my native language means "From now on TAO (bums)". Is it possible to change nickname?

Taomeow Posted February 17, 2015 (edited) aslo, i would prefer to keep my name zerostao And I will keep Taomeow. After all the correct Romanization for Jesus Christ is Yehoshua Ga-Nozri, but ...........(insert a socio-cultural-historic-linguistic argument I am too lazy to formulate).
