soaring crane Posted March 22, 2015 Have you tried putting a large good quality singing bowl, with some warm water in it, on your back and getting a friend to hit it? oh yessss... often. It's part of what I do with the lovely things :-) Also float them in the bathtub and strike them. Pretty profound, that.
soaring crane Posted March 22, 2015 woah .... found some awesome gong work with rubber / rubbing mallets. My big gong was delivered with a couple of these but I think the gong itself is too heavy and thick to get it to start up vibrating like this. I'll have to try on my smaller gongs. This is really awesome, and probably better with headphones, too:
freeform Posted March 22, 2015 (edited) Here's one I came across in a temple in Laos - about 3 meters tall, and made a wonderful low tone. Edited March 22, 2015 by freeform

Spotless Posted March 22, 2015 What price range is your large gong in? Really magnificent!
soaring crane Posted March 22, 2015 What price range is your large gong in? Really magnificent! around the €1000 - €1200 range, without stand. I got the whole package, Gong, beautiful beechwood stand and a few very high quality strikers for €750 + 50 for shipping. It was from someone who is dissolving his entire collection, moving on to other musical areas ... I feel bad for him as I was the only one at ebay who bid on it! But it landed in loving hands and has been making people happy since it arrived :-)

soaring crane Posted March 27, 2015 Held my first full-blown meditation/gong/singing bowl event with the new gong yesterday. It was a great experience for all of us. One of the people (a friend of mine, a 65-year old physicist) said he could feel the calcium deposits in his brain loosening, lol)
soaring crane Posted April 26, 2015 I held a 4-hour, hybrid workshop/healing seminar yesterday and last Saturday. I called it "Spring cleaning" haha. Everyone was very happy with the program and of course the big gong was one of the centers of focus. But the singing bowls were also well-loved, of course. One of the participants took a few snapshots and sent them to me:
