Nikolai1 Posted March 20, 2015 Here in Finland,at nearly eleven it he morning,it's turning dark and the birds are returning to roost. But what does it mean?
Apech Posted March 20, 2015 Apparently we have an eclipse, the spring equinox and a super moon all together. Must 'mean' something I suppose but no idea what Eclipse only partial here and its cloudy so nothing to see really, light is slightly low but just like normal cloudy day. The 99 eclipse was really something special but todays effort was hardly noticeable. For the record I am not feeling in the least ungrounded.
9th Posted March 20, 2015 Same here in England. The 99 eclipse was really something special but todays effort was hardly noticeable. For the record I am not feeling in the least ungrounded. I remember that eclipse well... mostly because I looked at it directly and theres a little dot still burned into my retina
Rara Posted March 20, 2015 (edited) I climbed to the top of the moors a few miles away with my girlfriend today at 8am and sat mindfully for over an hour while the eclipse did its thing. It was lovely to take time out before starting a job...just to remember what it is to just be! I have felt grounded since...but I would say this is more down to the nature of how I decided to treat the morning. I took a few photos...hopefully I can upload them on this thread if I get behind a PC? Edited March 20, 2015 by Rara
Michael Sternbach Posted March 20, 2015 (edited) Solar eclipses in very general terms mean endings and beginnings. Which is emphasized in this one by its occurrence on the last degree of Pisces which is the transitional degree to 0° Aries, or the Spring equinox - the end of an astrological year and the beginning of a new one. Nikolai1 Posted March 20, 2015 Is there not a more specific interpretation of this eclipse amongst astrologers? Is there a consensus?
Michael Sternbach Posted March 20, 2015 Something specific? How about this then... I was looking at an isolated event in Azerbijian. Here is the chart for the solar eclipse as it affects that place. I note war planet Mars in contact with the ascendant - Saturn (the other "malefic" among the planets) out of sect (a diurnal planet in a night chart), in keeping with the nature of the event... Here is the story that motivated me to look at this... http://rt.com/news/242373-nagorno-karabakh-conflict-azerbaijan/

Michael Sternbach Posted March 21, 2015 Is there not a more specific interpretation of this eclipse amongst astrologers? Is there a consensus? There is never a consensus about anything amongst astrologers.
Michael Sternbach Posted March 21, 2015 (edited) Does the concept of 'combust' apply to eclipses ? (or the reverse 'incombust' since it is the Sun that is hidden ?) ... Incombust Quoting from vedicastrologyblog: "MOON COMBUST? Not really. When the Sun and Moon are close you are in a new moon. This has it’s own specific energy. It is challenging to have your Moon or your Mind with your Sun. This is called a dark moon and can result in a soul being very challenged to find themselves." Besides, any celestial body that is in super-exact conjunction with the Sun is no longer combust but kazimi - a very favourable condition which brings its full potential out. Nungali Posted March 22, 2015 (edited) Okay .... first of all I thought that was what the term was , but not being a 'real astrologer' and very 'rusty' I couldnt remember the term so I looked it up ... something like 'calzoni' I thought it was ... I ended up getting ; and when I got http://www.astrologyweekly.com/dictionary/cazimi.php I was still laughing so much I misread the 17 mins as 17 deg. so thought, no that isnt it .... must be combust. Nungali Posted March 22, 2015 Anyway ... a ' Moon kazimi ' certainly brings out the its full potential ! It can even blot out the Sun! The one I witnessed ( full eclipse) was damn eerie! Nature and the wildlife went off ... dogs in the distance howling, a faint ring of light surrounding the distant circular 'sunset' in all directions ... stars ! .... yabbies going walkabout ! " ... I hear the whining of thy wolves! I hear The howling of the hounds about thy form ... "

Michael Sternbach Posted March 22, 2015 (edited) Isn't that the famous Lobster Rampa who wrote The Opening of the Third Eye? No, it's the lobster which wrote the best-seller Breakthrough to a Higher Level - One Lobster's Journey to a Life in the Sunshine. Never heard of it, eh? Pics don't do it justice though, it was literally 90% covered.
