References to flashing lights, ufos, etc in Taoism?

Like the title, are there any references to these kind of things in the older texts?

I can say there are related things mentioned in ancient Japanese documents like the Kojiki and the Takeuchi documents. Not so much "flashing lights", but about beings from other worlds shaping humanity, etc.

I remember there was mention of UFO-ish sightings in ancient Japan in Jacques Vallee's book, Passport to Magonia.  An interesting book in general, if you're interested in the subject of UFOs.

In the southern area of Chu, which was regarded as 'barbarians'.... they had the most shamanistic culture... and there is art attesting to alien figures.
