Songtsan Posted June 27, 2015 I might - it depends. Sometimes I am purely curious...."what's it like to try this?," etc...It's all for research purposes....going to write that book one day. Collecting stories and experiences. Trying to see through appearances, establish my own way without depending too heavily on others' belief systems. Exploration and innovation, re-creating wheels, seeing if I can expand the envelope, be free of the rules....
Orion Posted June 27, 2015 If you're thinking of poisoning yourself then you're already being poisoned by your Self. Â Maybe work on transmuting that and you won't need to ask this question again.

Rara Posted June 28, 2015 Taomeow has probably posted more on this subject then anyone else here, this being a sample: Â Â at the same time working on neigong techniques of transforming these substances into extra pure qi: This of course is the catch, if you don't know these techniques you will just kill yourself to no possible good, and the preparation for these techniques is a lot of hard preliminary work in self-cultivation. Â I hope Taomeow will comment on this topic. Still, if this is true, this is awesome.
Henchman21 Posted June 29, 2015 Still, if this is true, this is awesome. it doesnt really make sense because a nasty essence becomes nasty qi but there are said techniques i suppose
Songtsan Posted June 29, 2015 What I want to know is how to alchemically do this: Be able to have sex and come multiple times like a rockstar and keep on going like it was nothing. Some people seem to have been born with this gift. They learned it somehow through other lives, and were born into the right families. I want to break the system into pieces.....if everything is energy, why does form matter...this is a topic for another thread of course. But it relates like this: To me, ejaculation/orgasm are poison. They seem to weaken me. I want to transmute this lead into gold so that I can be free. thelerner Posted June 29, 2015 Master good sex before trying for sexual jhanas. Caring, sharing, rhythm kind of stuff.  You may find good sex is enough. Don't worry about weakness, its a necessary phase in life's cycles.  No need to be a rockstar, I'm not even sure rockstars are rockstars, its probably hype. Margot Anand has some good books on Tantra.  Lets keep matter, matter. Once it turns energy it tends to explode, burn or otherwise be destroyed, so lets keep solid.   One kind of freedom is accepting your responsibilities without resistance.  Indeed, accepting what is, is freedom. Resisting what comes up, is captivity. Not that one can't redirect circumstances skillfully, with patience and awareness.
Songtsan Posted July 1, 2015 I look for passive suffering techniques that run in the background while I go on about my life in ordinary ways....I dont have time to officially meditate right now. I am spending my energy on paying off debts so that I can then enter the monastery.  Although really, that's not true. I am always meditating 24/7....I have a background intent constantly running to improve improve improve. Sometimes too eagerly.

Songtsan Posted July 2, 2015 Yeah, my perfectionism beats me to the ground, and is shortening my life. Its a weird addiction related to suicidal tendencies. I'm. Sorry to myself. Mamas don't let your babies grow up to be Narcissists.
Bud Jetsun Posted July 2, 2015 Is ingesting poisons, in their various forms (poison people, places, things, drugs, venoms, bad foods, etc.), the fast track? Can you learn the quickest by going through hell? I have been unconsciously doing this all my life, and now I wonder if I should step up my game....Thinking of taking in small amounts of poisons (rattlesnake venom, black widow venom, arsenic, and more - in a controlled researched fashion) to strengthen myself. Anyone here have experience with this?   Anything that offers new perceptions also offers potential for new realizations.  While piloting a body which features countless specifically tuned chemical receptors waiting to be activated by various plant-teacher compounds, it seems unnecessarily in-compassionate to self to jump first to flesh/organ necrosis inducing poison.  Before venoms, I would suggest simply running >50miles barefoot first, it doesn't require inconveniencing an animal of it's venom.  That said, poisons can offer new and valuable realizations, particularly regarding the temporary fleeting nature of the body.  With Unlimited Love, -Bud
GreytoWhite Posted July 3, 2015 well, it's your karma....  but if you ask advice here...do not follow in my tracks, i brought my body on the brink of destruction and have a hell of a time to recover....  It's not a fast track....  love Bes  Aye, it's not a fast track as I can also attest. Although sometimes tools like psychedelics can open certain things... often prematurely.
Songtsan Posted July 3, 2015 (edited) I asked my old Sifu Kurtis Goodwin about the Poison Path, which he has undertaken to some extent, and he recommended speaking to a Chinese herbalogist to steer me in the right direction. I have probably been poisoning my body to a significant extent, with all my drug use anyways. However, I did run into an interesting cure regarding ingesting tarantulas and wolf spiders, which is weird because it happened randomly after I caught a huge mother wolf spider....it is supposed to help cure: restless leg syndrome, mental and physical restlessness, mood swings, heart complaints, hyperactivity, impatience, manipulative behavior, workaholicism, and vertigo.....the synchronicity of it is amazing, because I received a bunch of books from a friend, one of which just fell open to the page with the spider cure, and I just found the wolf spider about two weeks ago, and had been considering eating it to reduce my fear of spiders  Edited July 3, 2015 by Songtsan
Trash Filter Posted July 4, 2015 I don't normally post much on ttb but wow quite trash rich content post here. My contribution is to say that apparently media says living life of chaos and anything goes is what freedom is, but truth is it isn't.Freedom is in balance.A balanced mind too not wanting to poison themselves unless to show off in front of people like a magic show attention seeking etc. Could be wrong but I guess on poison path the best never LIVED to tell the TAIL of what its like. Mudfoot Posted July 9, 2015 I can see the advantages of poison oneself (and succeding in dying, of cause). Firstly, one will find out immediately If it has and spiritual value. No speculation needed anymore. Secondly, many places on earth are overpopulated by humans, so please, why not make a contribution? The more usual way of spirituality involving resolving desires, emotions and ideas are dull by comparison. If the idea of practices with the name poison in them is emotionally important I would recommend Shaolin Five hands of poison. It has some interesting training methods, none of which involves actual poison.
Songtsan Posted July 15, 2015 (edited) I always feel the most optimistic and clear headed after having been deeply sick and feverish. I only get sick like that every few years. I once entered a baby hot pepper eating contest with a Laotian friend of mine. He won, but I swear I learned something through the experience about suffering....I am not one of those ascetics who would walk around with an arm up over my head for years until it becomes shrunken and twisted. I just like to enter smaller poisons, that resolve quickly, and always do my research. Like Wim Hoff's method, based on g'tummo, exposing yourself to hardships will help, if it is done carefully within the yellow or orange zone, not the red, with foreknowledge of how to do it, and application of tried and true systems. Not going to do anything without studying it first.  One could say that exercise is a poison. Those who overdo it, overuse their bodies, and die sooner than they would have otherwise. It is important to take egoistic desires out of the equation. I aim to poison myself to extend my lifespan. But this is obviously not something I take lightly. Songtsan Posted July 15, 2015 They speak of risk/benefit profiles when analyzing drugs. One of the 'poisons' I wish to try is scopalamine, of Datura/Jimsonweed fame. Has been shown to be very efficacious in the treatment of depression lately, as well as its more common medical use in motion sickness treatment. Then there is the aforementioned spider venoms, arsenic, CO2 use as hallucinogen (increase CO2 levels, while maintaining adequate O2 levels), and a few others. Die the little death, to simply live. Then there is the aforementioned spider venoms, arsenic, CO2 use as hallucinogen (increase CO2 levels, while maintaining adequate O2 levels), and a few others. Die the little death, to simply live.   My Datura experience involved ~18hrs of uncontrolled abdominal/spinal muscle spasms while struggling to breathe well enough too survive it.  The ethnogenic effects were hardly noticeable at the time. (I realize this isn't the typical reaction, I may be allergic or something.)  Its a good teacher if you're looking for a mercy-free humbling.  As is tea of morning glory seeds and/or Hawaiian baby Woodrose, which offers an indescribable almost continuous puking/dry-heaves/purging experience while in such a strong state of hallucination eyes open/closed were indistinguishable  (as well as the concept of what "eyes" are) for perhaps 10hours. However, it's much safer from a survival perspective than Datura.   I am thankful for the perspective and realizations and humbling of the experiences, but would prefer not to experience those lessons a second time.  The beauty of the plant teachers lessons is in the lack of constructs.  Any human teacher using words inherently can only be sharing delusions about the nature of reality rather than offering unique perspective to offer opportunity for self-realization a plant-teacher can offer.  With unlimited Love, -Bud  PS:  Kindly let your spider free, if beings that cross your path are met with torture and death, you are unintentionally manifesting the same treatment for yourself.
Songtsan Posted July 18, 2015 Toxic people can produce the same results. When you hang out in toxic situations, or with toxic people for long periods of time, then hang out with more peaceful situations/beings, you can appreciate them better than ever before. Its playing the extreme lows to get to extreme highs. However, I mainly want to explore the healing benefits of certain substances for certain disorders....also delimit all fears. Find the beauty in the ugly to escape Samsaric delusions. I am reminded of certain yogis, who not only hang out in charnel grounds, but also garbage dumps, places of toxic environment, and transcend them. Supposedly, according to certain yogis, like Yogananda, there are avadhutas who can smear themselves with feces, and smell like roses...they transmute the substances around them through their Samadhis. Everything is made of water, for the most part. I think of 'Chi of Love' type of studies, wherein molecules are spun into different arrangements through alchemy
