I never really played but would love to learn to play drums, guitar, bass..I can't sing but if I had the extra time would take some lessons.

But I probably don't have extra time

1. Guitar, though I would love to pick up the violin

2. Three minutes ago

3. Almost always original songs, I think it is a lot more fun to write music than to learn it :D

I played trumpet...................Haven't played

in about 8 years...............I played jazz, blues and love funk...................As a matter of fact, to me the best soul, funk band in the universe is Tower of Power............Caught them this weekend at Mohegan Sun Casino in Ct....... Blue the roof off the joint..................Hence my online handle-ToP-fan :)

1. Harp (harmonica), use to play sax but by bari does not fit on my motorbike :(

2. Everyday, carry at least one everywhere I go.

3. Some sort of 12 bar blues that I made up. When I play other peoples songs it's easer to notice how bad I play :)

Piano.

A month ago. Something I made up, more like listening to it than making it up.

Play Erhu, Gu Zheng and mess with the Gu Qin a bit.

frequently play, and play by ear, or with what comes in.

Peace,

I play drums and just about anything with strings on it, mainly bass & guitar. Little piano but I havent put much practice time in...and I dont have a keyboard in my place anymore, so I'm basically not practicing.

I try to play guitar and bass every day...drums whenever I get a chance, my set is at my friend's house where we have practice. I've got another set at my condo but its got those nylon mesh heads on it to keep quiet...and I decided I just dont like the mesh heads. Good to have on a snare for some daily roll & rudiment practice, but a set? Ok, maybe a bass drum too.

I try to always play stuff my buddies and I have written...my mom used to be in a top 40 band when I was little and I remember being at a bunch of practices, 3-4 bangin on the drums and couldnt reach the bass pedal. I got my first guitar in second grade...which I still play on :) Been in a few bands over the years...since 2000, the metal songs we've written where I play bass have almost every technique I've learned in them...only that band never went anywhere because it was ostensibly just me and my best friend doing everything. (that's where the joeblast name came from) Used to play drums for a hard rock project we had going (freewheel), but that fizzled due to personnel...but we are resurrecting it now, I am happy about that...I am moving to guitar and we've got a drummer lined up. Last but not least we did a hardcore project, fun on the drums for me (At Wits End). I think we might be playing a show next month? There's a bad lack of a scene for that kind of stuff around here though...punk kids dont know what to think of it, the real 'hardcore' scene is mostly bands that all stick together and start shit with any outsiders (so half the band doesnt even want to go there) and the metal scene around here is...somewhat of a joke too.

Personnel issues, discouragements...gotta love it :) But music is fun, eh? I think right now my favorite pattern is locrian...

Add my didgeridoo to the band. I suck, but I keep trying.

Used to play the piano, still can but seldom do. I used to not suck at it, but... years and years without practice... now I do.

Bongos.

Like to use as percussion instruments anything on hand -- chopsticks against a jar of sake at a Japanese restaurant is one of my favorites. Own two tambourines, a pair of Spanish castagnettes, some bamboo flutes, some gourd rattles... Occasionally play my son's drums when no one is listening. ;)

my daughter's penny whistle

tried to do the greensleeves tune, but I couldn't read the notes so I bagged it. If I transcribe the notes to finger positions, I could probably handle it. I had good luck with Scarboro fair awhile back doing that.

She's seriously kicking my butt in gymnastics so I need to find something else that I'm better at!!

Piano performance major in college, many moons ago :). Acoustic guitar dabbler.

Somewhere along the way, I had a Sufi music teacher, Allaudin Mathieu, who wrote some amazing books on music and spiritual practice. Not just for people actively playing an instrument, but for anyone who wants to engage with music more deeply. Highly recommended.

Today I play with leaves

flutes whispering winds

trees wandering branches

soft symphony sounds

of natures call

with hands aloft

weaving winds

between winds whispers
