Marblehead Posted September 2, 2015 Well, really, the first reaction to anything strange and unexpected is oftentimes fear and if you have a weapon in your hand at the time of experiencing fear what do you think is going to happen?

Brian Posted September 3, 2015 Ahhh... the Vespa / Bazooka combo !!!  Not exactly "State of the Art" Planetary Defence LOL.  Didn't you learn Anything, by watching "The Day The Earth Stood Still" !!! (The Original, not Keanu's re-make!!) I'm digging that howitzcooter! FWIW, I learned to pronounce "Klaatu barada nikto."
Marblehead Posted September 3, 2015 Â Â FWIW, I learned to pronounce "Klaatu barada nikto." I don't even know what it means.
Taomeow Posted September 4, 2015 I don't even know what it means.  Klaatu seems to be related to a curse word in Jamaican Creole. Barada is the phonetic spelling of the Russian word for "beard." Nikto is the Russian for "nobody."  What they are doing stringed together I have no idea -- have never seen that movie. Did I miss much?
Basher Posted September 4, 2015 OMG Taomeow !!! Â (Won't spoil things by telling you, but it's a VERY IMPORTANT SENTENCE in this Excellent 1950's Black & White Movie.) Â
Taomeow Posted September 4, 2015 It does sound important. "Underpants beard nobody." I'll watch the context based on your recommendation when I have a chance, thanks.
