Owlbeard Posted September 12, 2015 Thank you for providing this online space. My Chinese is limited, but I began learning it in order to better understand the Daoist texts (I'm never really satisfied with translations as there is so much symbolism and poetry in the original texts). I've been studying the Yijing, Daodejing and Zhuangzi for a few years, as well as the poetry of Li Bo and Han Shan and even the Confucianist Du Fu. All of these works deeply inspire me. It was Zen Buddhism that originally steered me towards Daoism. Also, I have been practicing Baguazhang (Cheng-style) and Xingyiquan for five years, with strong emphasis on Yiquan over the last three years. Again, thank you for making this space. I'm here to learn.
