CodyWizard Posted October 8, 2015 Why do you want to control sexual impulse?
Songtsan Posted October 8, 2015 Note sexual impulses with equanimity, but don't feed into them. There is the noting of mind objects, and then they are gone, and then there is the reifying of mind objects, which is desire based and cyclical. This creates a positive feedback loop, wherein the attention is drawn back to the sexual mind objects again and again, and fascination increases, strengthening the tendency. The noting process does not involve a 'shying away,' or negative attachment process. It sees what passes, but does not insert any more energy consciously or willingly, neither does it try to defend or draw back. The subtle subconscious stirrings, wherein you apparently have no control over the fascination, indicate the amount of awakening you have to do. 'Neither taking nor giving,' remain in the center of the storm, in non-doing.
dwai Posted October 8, 2015 Can you control it by meditation/pranayam? if yes then which meditation/pranayam? As sattva in the body increases, the impulses will subside. You can regulate a lot controlling your diet, doing yoga, pranayama etc. http://www.thelivingcentre.com/cms/body/peace-through-a-sattvic-diet
