soaring crane Posted October 25, 2015 This is fascinating: https://www.newscientist.com/article/dn25894-meet-the-electric-life-forms-that-live-on-pure-energy And this very elegant sentence popped out at me: "We know that life, when you boil it right down, is a flow of electrons."
iBee Posted October 27, 2015 Hi Soaring Crane, Thank you for your posting. It is indeed very profound on this quote "We know that life, when you boil it right down, is a flow of electrons." Whether is positive or negative energy much depends on our attitude in life. Following our Grandma's way, I have learned from her about a simple living which would be healthy, contended and more towards eco living as well. Would appreciate if you can share some views on this.
soaring crane Posted October 27, 2015 I like the way you interpreted it, iBee :-) "We know that life, when you boil it right down, is a flow of electrons" sums up, and crystalizes, my own views, which are also reflected in this quote in my signature: “When we try to pick out anything by itself, we find it hitched to everything else in the Universe”. I'm connected to everything and everyone (electrons), and everywhen (flow). Life is grand, life is mysterious and life is live, and because I want my grand, mysterious, live experience to continue to flow and grow, it's my personal mission to make that exchange of electrons as hindrance-free as I can. Good food, fresh air, healthy exercise, friendship and love, those are the basic ingredients in my soup of life. Much like your Grandmother may have said it, I guess. But a bowl of soup isn't enough, it's only the electrons in a container. The flow is equally important, and that means new experiences, new perspectives, change for the sake of change. Travelling and socialising, getting out in the world, networking, etc.
iBee Posted October 27, 2015 Greetings soaring crane, Your lifestyle is a good match for keeping us in healthy balance and out of debt (whether is financial debt, relationship debt, or all other negative debts). Just as how you pen it : "But a bowl of soup isn't enough, it's only the electrons in a container." Our life expectations was not much ....but at times such struggles in life evoke much melancholy when in fact the memories they brought back were fond. But in all situations, we tried to manage as best as we could and we save all the positive energies. Then, one day... we might be able to "buy" something (money cannot buy) that we truly cherish. Your words are definitely another realisation of positive electrons in a container. With great thanks......
soaring crane Posted October 27, 2015 There's something else about the electron exchange, it's something that I say often in my qigong groups. Every breath is an opportunity to introduce new energy (oxygen/qi) into every single cell in the body, all four to seven trillion of them, the 10% of the cells that are human origin and the 90% that aren't; the big, obvious groups of cells, and the hidden, forgotten, distant groups of cells, and an equally great opportunity to expunge the old. This carries over to the mind, as well, and releasing old memories and behaviorial patterns that have developed over the years, or decades. All we have to do, is breathe. And all we do is breath. Taken down to that level of electrons in the article, the energy exchange is vast, as big as the universe, really. And that's pretty awesome :-) Ask: Who wants change? And they all answer: Me! Ask: Who wants to change? And they all answer: ...
