Everything Posted January 19, 2016 (edited) You know I like all things mysterious because I am a curious person. Maybe too clever for my own good. We all know that curiosity killed the cat. Islam is in headlines everyday in news and I became curious about it so I did research about it and asked some scholars around. I came across this mysterious word in Arabic. Its called "l-qayumu" and it means "the Sustainer of existance." That Allah is so exalted that He is even exalted from existance. And thus doesn't exist. The contradiction is that Muslims believe that Allah exists which is why they call themselves muslim. What is your take on this. Contradiction or mystery? Marblehead Posted January 19, 2016 Not much different from saying "The Tao that can be spoken is not the eternal Tao."
silent thunder Posted January 19, 2016 To me, religion is the expression of conditioned contradiction through the medium of cognitive dissonance via the process of dogmatic inheritance. Except that is of course for the lovely bits, particularly the candles and the incense. I rather fancy those. The End. p.s. true story
