Britain and the European Union

@Karl - just to let you know I'm in the process of registering for a postal vote from outside UK - I will vote to remain so that your vote to leave will be neutralised ... so really there's no point you voting is there.

A postal vote from outside the U.K. I assume that you are now residing in your tax haven but still wish to influence the nation of your birth - for a laugh.

I now have a vision of Apech the Grandee.

We have ways of seeking out the traitors who give away our lands and homes to foreign Devils whilst supping decadently at their tables. When we catch them there will be hell to pay.

The "Brexit" campaign will hopefully benefit from remarks made by French president Francois Hollande regarding "consequences" should the British vote to leave the European Super State.

Historically threats from a Frenchman have been treated with the derision they deserve in the U.K.

I said enough about the traitorous, treasonable behaviour of our slimy, cowardly PM on another site.

Back in the day a Frenchie would not dare to utter threats with a Britishman stood next to him. The minimum would be a Gentlemans duel with pistols or swords. Instead we have a lady boy PM, a fopping pimple of the male species who bends over or kneels to receive his prize. This is clearly what he learned at Eton as a fag. Fluff the big boys and polish their helmets. A weasely, toady of a fellah trying to be another people's princess. Princess "call me Dave" a cast iron calamity of a boy who needs caning good and proper.

We should invade Germany and France. They are so wimpy and useless that they would let us walk right in. All we need is a few placards about feminism, equal rights or racism and we could walk right on in. We should annexe Brittany and Normandy then take all the nice bits down in the South. Let's have all their industry and then demolish the Brussels Tower of Babel. Who's going to stop us ? They are letting foreigners invade them left right and centre. Too long sitting on thrones and stuffing their mouths with fois gras has made them soft when it comes to real fighting. A light breeze, a few threats and they would come to heel.

"But who will write us a riding song,
Or a hunting song or a drinking song,
Fit for them that arose and rode
When day and the wine were red?
But bring me a quart of claret out,
And I will write you a clinking song,
A song of war and a song of wine

And a song to wake the dead."

"But who will write us a riding song
Or a fighting song or a drinking song,
Fit for the fathers of you and me,
That knew how to think and thrive?
But the song of Beauty and Art and Love
Is simply an utterly stinking song,
To double you up and drag you down

And damn your soul alive."

Following the latest acts of terrorism in Brussels the question has to asked as to whether the European Superstate safeguards its citizens against terrorism, facilitates those acts of terrorism or is in fact powerless in the face of terrorism.

We are also back with that "old chestnut" of whether the Islamist is the enemy or Islam itself?

Old chestnuts take little effort to open when roasted -- in this particular case (as so often is true), the fire is just a little honest research.

I suspect that there will be many tears shed and prayers made following the latest atrocities. Such things may well provide relief and comfort to individuals but other than this i question their value.

Yes, the hashtags, music, a brave Muslim, a reporter in a headscarf, some Muslim men appalled by the actions of a few, flowers, the promises of standing together, the exploration of how these men got 'radicalised' as if they caught some disease, posters showing immigrants wearing suicide belts with large red crosses, the liberal bourgeoise left pouring scorn on anyone who dare connect this to Islam or the hallowed EU. It's all getting a bit tiresome.

Well I think that it won't be long before the average person in the street begins to doubt that their Government is actually capable of stopping these jihadhist nutters and what's more, they seem hell bent on flooding the country with more Muslim immigrants in order to increase the risks further. Once that confidence is gone then so will any sense of control. Enoch Powell saw it 'rivers of blood'. Well the rivers have begun to flow within our capital cities, the bastions of Western culture rocked by bomb blasts, machine gun fire and butchery knives. Every German wasn't a Nazi it is true to say, but when people begin looking for justice for those who's body parts lie scattered across buildings, trains and aircraft, then no amount of peaceful Islam will pacify the call.

My own view is that the worst is yet to come and that this is really only the beginning of home grown and imported terrorism in Europe.

As regards the referendum on Britain leaving or remaining in the European Superstate i am genuinely shocked when speaking to friends whom I consider sensible and well informed. Many of them are going to vote to remain part and parcel of the E.U. Mess simply because they are afraid of the consequences of leaving and the thought of poor little Britain alone and lonely in such a dangerous world. They really do believe that the rest of Europe will support and defend us.

Hope springs eternal etc..................

Nothing surprises me about people voting to remain part of the EU. The mob looks to socialism and the state to save it. For anyone under 30 I would say it's time to quit Europe. I always like th old adage 'when the crowd runs in one direction you had better run in the other'.

If Britain stays in we are finished- even if we leave this may be true-but at least we would have a chance. It would be good if Britain was an independent place to which the strivers, the entrepreneurs, the industrialists, inventors, creators and investors could find sanctuary and have the people of this Island thrive. It would give hope to those trapped in a collapsing European nightmare that they could change things for the better.

People are generally very risk averse. They see wide open spaces as dangerous plains; opportunities as a series of unsolvable problems. They cannot see themselves as heroes in their own stories so they look to the state to make their life safe and comfortable. The men and women who do stride out, who build and nurture are not revered, they are seen as exploiters and rentiers. The people don't see those people as saviours, but only cash cows to me milked to save the rest.

Obviously there is still a long way to go until the referendum but things are pretty much neck to neck at the moment.

The Prime Minister and his likely successor. Both products of Eton and Oxford and both members of the Bullingdon Club.

Born and bred into the ruling class of the social elite. Men who will not let their fathers down and most certainly will not let their underlings up.

Had you been up and about in Oxford in their day I do not doubt that they would have debagged you Apech Old Boy.
