Marblehead Posted May 30, 2016 He missed being knocked out by a falling ripe mango. Squelch - splat! I actually thought about that. I best stay away from the mango trees. Speaking of mangos though, I really did love the mango slushies when I was in Mexico.
Marblehead Posted May 30, 2016 Coconut dangerous much more. Yeah, I would never trust a coconut tree.
Marblehead Posted May 30, 2016 And speaking of the origin of mankind, it's neat watching the origin of a frog. They start off as an egg, hatch into a tadpole, and breathe through their skin. As they mature they can't get enough oxygen through their skin so they start swimming to the surface a gulp a breath of air. The more they mature they become the more time they spend at the surface breathing until eventually, pretty much at the same time that their tail disappears, they are almost always at the surface or out of the water. That's what the evolution of life from the water to land was all about. Of course, in man's case it was the fish evolving into lizards that was the path.

Marblehead Posted May 30, 2016 This conversation is just marbelous. Well, what do you expect when you ask a question like "What is the origin of mankind?" But I'm glad you didn't spell it "marbleless".
Nungali Posted May 30, 2016 I never did it under a mango tree. ? Got bonked ? You have to sit there until one falls off . Patience ! ------------ Flashback 1986 - had a GF that had recently come from N.Z. never had a mango before. She saw one in one of our fruit shops. "What is that thing?" "That ? That's a mango . Haven't you ever seen one before ?" 'No, what are they like ?' "i think you better buy it . " She did and went outside on the street . 'How do I eat this thing ? " (it was a big one ) 'Well, there is a trick to it, with a knife but here .... just peel off the skin and bite it. ' She did. You should have seen her face ! Then sat in the gutter eating it making a huge mess and covered her hands , face, arms, clothes in sticky mango . Hilarious to watch . After ; " I think we better go back home and throw you in the shower ! " Mmmmmmmmangos !

The axolotl decided that, half way through that transition he would stay there. Start as an egg, hatch into a sorta tadpole with 'inside out lungs' , grow some legs and start turning into an amphibious lizard , but then .......... Hey ! No one else is doing this. I might stay like this . Decided to live in the water (also going to the surface to gulp air as well ) . Animals can evolve to do just about anything
