Karl Posted June 20, 2016 You seem to be optimistic. . Just logical not optimistic. Just look at the cracks in any piece of concrete paving. Was that concrete paving 'meant' for the grass/weeds/ants/moss that grows there ? No. It was just a place where these things could grow and so they did. Dogs or crocodiles didn't appear in these cracks, only what could survive and thrive did so. The Earth is like a crack in the concrete.
Stosh Posted June 20, 2016 Its implicit rather than intentionally determined. ( I wonder how that translates to Japanese ??)
Michael Sternbach Posted June 20, 2016 Its implicit rather than intentionally determined. ( I wonder how that translates to Japanese ??) Mui (for Junko: 無為). It's the Japanese translation of wu wei. Is that fair enough?
Stosh Posted June 20, 2016 Mui (for Junko: 無為). It's the Japanese translation of wu wei. Is that fair enough? Yes, it would be , but your answer is so brief and seems to be way confusing... I dunno. But in the mean time I thought of the word inherent , are we on the same page?
Marblehead Posted June 20, 2016 ... are we on the same page? Same page number, different book.

No. It was just a place where these things could grow and so they did. Dogs or crocodiles didn't appear in these cracks, only what could survive and thrive did so. The Earth is like a crack in the concrete. I live in a crack . A big crack in the earth with moss growing in it. That is what the valley I live in looks like from high altitude. I am smaller than the weeds and moss .... maybe one of the ants. Like the moss and grass and ants in the sidewalk crack, I settle where I feel most comfortable, less threatened, where I can snatch food and shelter .... or where I can. I found a good spot in the crack and I have fought off the other critters that tried to take it from me. Basically I am an opportunist. I will hide in the crack and live as best I can and live off what I can .... a bit like a rat in the wall. Sorry about that , all you workers and tax payers and hard sloggers for the system , but I just cant live like that. Every morning, down the coast in the big city 1000s of 1000s of people leave their little concrete boxes before dawn and file off in the noisy clanky long metal snakes that take them into the termite hive, and work all day and come back on the metal snake ( sometimes 90 mins a day ) to get back to their box after dark. Nah . I cant do it .... I tried, but it started to eat my soul. So I ran off . Its a lot better down in the crack
Stosh Posted June 20, 2016 (edited) Same page number, different book. Could you expand on that? 無為 in japanese , idle ,, Same kanji in Chinese is Wu wei ? implicit , in japanese however is 暗黙 or Ura Inherent in japanese is 内在する ? WTF? in english Edited June 20, 2016 by Stosh
Marblehead Posted June 20, 2016 Could you expand on that? I doubt it.

It's weird really because I don't like the dark generally, but in a cave there is a feeling of serenity. I would often switch off my head lamp and just lie on my back listening to the cave sounds. There is a particular set of passages called the minarets in the ease gill system which are diamond shaped with silt floors. The acoustics are so dead compared to the echoes in most parts of a system and its more it's like a hushed crypt. So peaceful.

Yes, what is inherent or potential flowing out into manifestation, just because it is ripe and it can.

Yeah, well, some people have to do that in order to provide the services and products you need. I played the game. Bought myself a concrete box.
Karl Posted June 20, 2016 Yes, what is inherent or potential flowing out into manifestation, just because it is ripe and it can. Sometimes Brie can be like that when it gets a bit ripe. It manifests down the side of the cheeseboard and dribbles off a Jacobs.

Marblehead Posted June 20, 2016 Sometimes Brie can be like that when it gets a bit ripe. It manifests down the side of the cheeseboard and dribbles off a Jacobs. I have never had that happen. I eat the Brie way before it gets into that condition.
Karl Posted June 20, 2016 I have never had that happen. I eat the Brie way before it gets into that condition. You are missing a real treat. You can get Brie in France that has tremendous strength and when it gets really runny, oh man, the flavours and smell are amazing. Served on just baked croissants on a summers day with a bottle of chilled Sancerre .......
Stosh Posted June 20, 2016 Yes, what is inherent or potential flowing out into manifestation, just because it is ripe and it can. Now Thats an interesting confluence .

Nungali Posted June 20, 2016 Yeah, well, some people have to do that in order to provide the services and products you need. I know, that's why I referred to myself as like a rat. But like a lot of others, I somehow feel special and exempt . I am special .... like everyone else ....hang on, I have a saying I thought up years ago - gotta remember it ; I believe I should be entitled to the lifestyle that I believe I deserve . - not that I 'deserve' anything particularly, I think it should apply to all. Every person should have a good healthy non- slaving lifestyle. ( I know that is highly impractical , its just a 'belief'. ) But here is the thing , and it took me a looooooooooong time to learn this ; its just the way of things for me , the other way doesn't work and was full with difficulties, as soon as I dropped out, the Universe showered me with abundance. Once I accepted that it kept happening .... I got free land, a house for $8000 .... a car given to me , when I did need $$$$ an easy job that was fun to do.

The first thing they decided to do was to split up. ? It was first caving experience and it just didn't seem right to me. So I didn't go far. too wondered how dark it would be if I turned my light off. <click> yep .... pretty dark (of course it is, you idiot ! ) <click > ..... < click click click click > Ohhh great . Now what happens without a light ? So I thought it best to just sit there. Someone will come along eventually. They did. I said "hello' and they just about jumped out of their skin ( as they had not noticed me) "Sorry, my light broke ... look" <click> light goes on . I think I better stay on the surface of the crack .

When I go out there I will buy Brie as well as other types.
