"I stump for Trump"

Recommended Posts

This two sets of laws garbage has got to go

What is shocking is that the FBI director was clearly ignoring the US code itself, where in Section 793, subsection (f),"Gathering, transmitting or losing defense information", it makes it quite clear that intent is not a key consideration in a case like this when deciding to press charges, to wit:

Whoever, being entrusted with or having lawful possession or control of any document, writing, code book, signal book, sketch, photograph, photographic negative, blueprint, plan, map, model, instrument, appliance, note, or information, relating to the national defense, (1) through gross negligence permits the same to be removed from its proper place of custody or delivered to anyone in violation of his trust, or to be lost, stolen, abstracted, or destroyed, or (2) having knowledge that the same has been illegally removed from its proper place of custody or delivered to anyone in violation of its trust, or lost, or stolen, abstracted, or destroyed, and fails to make prompt report of such loss, theft, abstraction, or destruction to his superior officer— Shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both.

What is even more shocking is that according to Comey, "we cannot find a case that would support bringing criminal charges on these facts."

Well, we did. Here is the FBI itself, less than a year ago, charging one Bryan H. Nishimura, 50, of Folsom, who pleaded guilty to "unauthorized removal and retention of classified materials" without malicious intent, in other words precisely what the FBI alleges Hillary did (h/t @DavidSirota):

U.S. Magistrate Judge Kendall J. Newman immediately sentenced Nishimura to two years of probation, a $7,500 fine, and forfeiture of personal media containing classified materials. Nishimura was further ordered to surrender any currently held security clearance and to never again seek such a clearance.

According to court documents, Nishimura was a Naval reservist deployed in Afghanistan in 2007 and 2008. In his role as a Regional Engineer for the U.S. military in Afghanistan, Nishimura had access to classified briefings and digital records that could only be retained and viewed on authorized government computers. Nishimura, however, caused the materials to be downloaded and stored on his personal, unclassified electronic devices and storage media. He carried such classified materials on his unauthorized media when he traveled off-base in Afghanistan and, ultimately, carried those materials back to the United States at the end of his deployment. In the United States, Nishimura continued to maintain the information on unclassified systems in unauthorized locations, and copied the materials onto at least one additional unauthorized and unclassified system.

Nishimura’s actions came to light in early 2012, when he admitted to Naval personnel that he had handled classified materials inappropriately. Nishimura later admitted that, following his statement to Naval personnel, he destroyed a large quantity of classified materials he had maintained in his home. Despite that, when the Federal Bureau of Investigation searched Nishimura’s home in May 2012, agents recovered numerous classified materials in digital and hard copy forms. The investigation did not reveal evidence that Nishimura intended to distribute classified information to unauthorized personnel.

This case was the product of an investigation by the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Assistant United States Attorney Jean M. Hobler prosecuted the case.

And then there is Ian Bremmer who said that "it's very clear that in trying to make it go away they actually lied, repeatedly, about whether or not these materials were classified at the time. And it's the cover up frequently that gets people in trouble, it's not the actual misdeed. This was very badly mishandled by Hillary all the way through."

But then she got some much needed help from the FBI to complete the cover up.

In retrospect, perhaps former Attorney General Eric Holder said it best when he justified with the US DOJ simply refuses to bring up criminal cases against those it deems "too big to prosecute":

if you do bring a criminal charge it will have a negative impact on the national economy, perhaps world economy

And just like that, Hillary is "systemically important", if mostly for her countless Wall Street donors.

If I could get some kind of divine assurance, like God with his long white beard to come out of the sky, have lunch, and level with me,  that Trump was saying the shit he was saying, and acting the way he's been acting, for the sake of getting votes and then was going to really turn on the practicality and hire a staff full of experts that know what they are doing once he got in office, I would vote for Trump, absolutely. Unfortunately, I only feel comfortable taking the guy at face value. And the guy at face value is dangerous. The way people justify the Muslim ban comments really trips me out. I equate it in many ways with the way people justify the flying of the Confederate flag. Both - his comments and the act of flying the flag - are literally, by any rational definition, top five most unAmerican things you could ever do.

Furthermore, and this part I truly don't mean at all facetiously or in a confrontational way, I want to throw out something to any of those who are vehement in their dislike for or fear of Bernie (and note that I'm not a rabid supporter of his - I would have liked to see him do better, but I will take my medicine and vote for Clinton). Explain to me why or what about the attached video is misleading or wrong. And for the sake of a good debate, try to steer away from personal feelings for Maher or paranoia over the historical meaning you assign to the word "socialist" - in other words take Bernie as an entity for what all real signs point to him doing are and not the imaginary monster you foresee him turning into down the line for whatever reason.

oh, enough with the rewritten history of the civil war already - the confederate flag is not racist, that line of crap is just to continue to PC policing of thought so that people think properly and dont go getting any strange ideas in their heads and question the narrative that's been put forth.

the confederate flag is quite american - they had the wherewithal to tell the North to go get stuffed, they werent going to pay their bills for them, and were seceding....

....and for that assertion of self-determination, the north sent in the military to show them that the united states is NOT one of free association, you're in and you cant leave - just like the EUers were saying about that dumb idea.

why on earth would you vote for a known and proven criminal?

Nice job JoeBlast. I like a guy who can cite the Law. No way around black and white.

Look, about the Muslims. Anyone remember the VC usng Civilians or behaving as Cilvians in the Vietnam conflict. You didn't know who was who. Read 15 Months in SOG, A Warrior's Tour, Thom Nicholson copyright 1999 if you want to know what it is like not to know your enemy.

Remember how we found out about those pilots and where they were training...the ones that Knock down the Twin Towers. Ask the stewardess who had her throat cut as an example, if she thinks we should tighten up security, or keep people out until we did a thorough background check. And if there is anything, even the slightest thing scetchy, you don't get in.

Anybody heard of Ellis Island: In Upper New York Bay, was the gateway for over 12 million immigrants to the United States as the nation's busiest immigrant inspection station from 1892 until 1954.

Notice the operative word inspection.

Or how about:

The internment of Japanese Americans in the United States during World War II was the forced relocation and incarceration in camps in the interior of the country of between 110,000 and 120,000 people of Japanese ancestry who had lived on the Pacific coast. Sixty-two percent of the internees were United States citizens.

We have sliced and diced what it means to be free until we don't recognize it anymore. Hello to Politically Correct, and Goodbye to your right to feel safe and yourself.  We as Americans have been lulled into a sense of security. There's been a increase in Terrorist bombings this past week. We think we are safe from that because "it's over there." Remember the 60's. Did ya ever hear about any Terriorts bombings here in America. Nope! What changed? The Politicians we allowed to take over and run our country.

Trump has been refreshing to me. Open and honest about who he is and what he is about. He toned it down because the Republican whinning puppies were scurrrrrrrrrrrred by the hawk.

But Hillary the Joker, just look at the above picture, and people trust that. What makes you think that she is not going to take out her anger/rage at Bill, those that investigated her, those that exposed the Whitewater Scandal, and the Clinton Foundation Scandal. And if she gets in she has already bragged about having "Bill help me" Oh! Boy! Two for One...Good and Plenty...Good and Plenty of more of the same.

"Our new government is founded upon exactly the opposite idea; its foundations are laid, its corner- stone rests upon the great truth, that the negro is not equal to the white man; that slavery -- subordination to the superior race -- is his natural and normal condition. [Applause.] This, our new government, is the first, in the history of the world, based upon this great physical, philosophical, and moral truth."

-Alexander Stephens, Vice President of the Confederate States of America

"We hear much of the civilization and Christianization of the barbarous tribes of Africa. In my judgment, those ends will never be attained, but by first teaching them the lesson taught to Adam, that “in the sweat of his brow he should eat his bread,” and teaching them to work, and feed, and clothe themselves."

Yeah, there's quite a preponderance of atrocities committed in that name, and its no shocker that there were some pro slavery folks in the south - as always, follow the money...but if you want to talk honestly about the causes of the civil war, it was always about the north's profligate spending that they demanded the south participate equally in.

People dont realize that the 14th amendment didnt quite so much free slaves so much as enslave all citizens - and it was never properly ratified, anyway - just like the 16th amendment.

Here is an eye opener. They say the "whites" were responsible for going over to Africa to buy, take, and sell Africans back here. But you were never told what ethnic group was absolutely responsible for the start of killing 10M black human beings. They were Jews. Does the name Rothchild mean anything to you.

And after slavery was abolished, it went on anyway in the South covertly or overtly.

When I saw an employee driving a car that had a Confederate Flag licence plate on the front of his car, and regular licence plate on the back, it irritated me that he could do that...you know have only one licence plate when I needed to have two in the State I lived in. Didn't understand that. To me there was no division between North and South. That was resolved, so why the need put it out there?

But you guys are off topic. What does the North and South have to do with the Post I started, 'I Stump for Trump?' I would suggest one of you start a new topic in Off Topic site and not  use up the space here. Orrrrr, go back to the Post. Thanks.

Maybe not so off topic.  Perhaps this kind of discussion is exactly what happens when you start a topic "stumping" for a man whose rallying cry is all about building fences to keep people he doesn´t like out of the country, a man who doesn´t see that people are people.  We get racial divisiveness. You feel like pointing out (rightly or wrongly, I don´t know) that Jews were responsible for the genocide of blacks.  Some folks start waving the confederate flag.  I just don´t get that.  Sure, an argument can be made that it´s not about racism, but given that it´s so offensive (rightly or wrongly) to so many, why would we want to even go there?

I want to live in a world where we recognize that there´s good and bad in everyone, and in every racial groups history.  How could it be otherwise when we´re all so very human? And a Trump presidency won´t help.

On the previous page I mention how Trump is slandered without reason...this is a prime example. Slander is specifically something negative that's said about a person which is untrue...unlike the other candidates, who have negative things said about them which are accurate.

There is a lot that Trump says plainly for himself which we can say is bad...but why use inaccuracies to make him look bad?

Wanting to deport illegals, to build a border wall, to not accept refugees which have been infiltrated by a terrorist organization...these things do not make a racist. I realize that it's the cool thing to do in 2016 to point out that every little thing is racist, but it'd be nice if we started thinking critically here and not just following the trend.

Aetherous,

To me, slander is stating a fact about someone that isn´t true.  When I say that Trump "doesn´t see people as people" I wasn´t so much stating a known fact (I haven´t performed any psychological tests or anything), but more of an opinion.  It´s my opinion that Trump foments racial disharmony and would continue to do so in the future if elected.  It´s my opinion that Clinton is untrustworthy and perhaps a little weasily.

You´re free to disagree, to have a contrary opinion, but that doesn´t mean I was being slanderous in stating mine.  A trend-following liberal dolt, perhaps, but not a slanderous one.

Do the research on the Black Genocide. Don't take my word for it.

I just want to keep it on topic. I think that is one of the few rules the Dao Bums have.

Regarding keeping people out of the country, people have fences to keep their space private and people out.People want to control for who comes and goes, and who comes into their home. A person has the right to let who they want to let in. If they don't like Blacks, Jews, Mexicans, Puerto Ricans, Vietnamese and such, no government is going to pound down their doors and make them like them. And not one of these ethnics will dare file a law suit because they were not let into someones home. We have no soliciting signs and beware of dog signs for a reason.  We can shoot to kill  if the intruder's intention is to bring bodily harm. Doesn't matter. No one gets in unless allowed.

So, how is it that we as Americans cannot apply the same rules in protecting our National Home called Amreica.

And everybody is prejudice. A racist is a person who believes that a particular race is superior to another. If your sister, mother, daughter, wife, girlfriend is raped by "person of color" I would put money on it that your not going to check yourself on bringing out the race card. And it works both ways.

Everybody is prejudice. It's just suppressed.

You weren't stating a fact based on anything Trump actually said or did...therefore what you were saying about him (for instance, that he wants to build a wall to keep people he is racially prejudice against out of the country) was completely untrue. It might be your opinion, a conclusion you drew by taking things he has said a step further in your own mind, but it's still definitely something untrue...which is slander.

I am not at all wishing to say "you are slanderous liminal_luke!", but I am definitely wishing to point out that this behavior of the left, particularly about this issue, has been slanderous. People think a candidate is unqualified and potentially dangerous, without sufficient reason, and usually just because the rest of the herd is acting the same way, so they go to whatever lengths to try and make that candidate lose, including sacrificing their own integrity by making up lies about the person in order to attempt to take them down a notch.

I see all the Mexican and muslim talk from Trump as a way to get votes, and it worked. Likewise, I do not think those ideas are that outrageous, needless to say, living in California, I know how industrious Mexican nationals are, and they will find a way to get around, under or above that wall regardless, lmao - it would be better to instead say, we will be stricter on illegal immigration but we will also work on ways to get migrants who want to come here legally in speedily. And one of Europe's issues is letting in migrants from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sub-Saharan Africa who have absolutely no ties to the chaos in the Levant. Properly vetting immigrants from the ME seems completely rational.

What is worrisome are his trade plans, the question is, is it too late to be a self-reliant country? Meaning can we re-establish a manufacturing base that would even hold a candle to the global manufacturing machine? And if so, how long would it take to re-establish this self-sufficiency? And in the meanwhile is the average consumer willing to pay $1200 for an iPhone or double the price for clothes and electronics? It will send the economy, both America's and the worlds into a tailspin. Likewise, how is he going to get these outrageous ideas approved? He might just be a four year lame duck with Congress consistently shutting him down...with that being said, I find myself in the anything but Clinton camp, and just might not vote at all. The world is a stage has never rang truer, Salman Rushdie might not have been that far off when he jokingly said Trump is an employee of the Clintons, ie. their very own Manchurian candidate paid to pave the way (ie destroy the Republican party) for an easy Clinton victory.

I think you´re right.  The problem with all this "get tough on illegal Mexican immigrant" talk is that we don´t really want them to go.  We might think we do, but we don´t.  Their overall effect on the economy is a positive one, and if all the "illegals" were to one day up and go home we´d be in big, big trouble.  So Trump can talk tough but there´s no wall that can keep them out.  And that´s a good thing.

I've heard about "white  genocide," "black genocide."  IMO the elite want to "control population" in order to be "sustainable."  They don't seem to care too much about race, it is more about being in the Rich Douchebag club.  In Cultural Marxism, everyone is divided, not just the rich and poor.  Men and women, people of different "races," ("race" relations have gotten worse in the last few years), gays and straights, Christians and non-Christians, etc. etc.  People need to unite and realize the enemy isn't the opposing pawns on the chess board, but those who built and are playing the chess board off-seas, in shadowy mansions.

We might think we do, but we don´t.  Their overall effect on the economy is a positive one,

Perhaps in other parts of the countries it might be different, but you are right, here in Northern California they are absolutely an integral part of the economy and I don't see them in the least taking jobs from honest americans. They are for the most part behind the scenes, at the restaurants, maid services, landscaping, etc. The main problem for me is the word 'illegal' - if I break the law, i get a ticket or go to jail, why should that not apply across the board? We simply need a better way of making them legal immigrants. It's complex.

Depending of course if the so called 'economy' is actually working out well for people generally. The reason it's called 'the economy' is the same reason the 'Government ' is called the government. It means somebody is busy planning how things will work by using intervention and force, it is therefore their economy and not some naturally occurring market place of producers and consumers.

Laissez Faire capitalism has no intervention, so, a producers value is the judgement of the market and not related to tax income, licensing, minimum wages and state regulations. Mexican immigrants, like everyone else in a managed economy have very different measures of value as decided by the controllers.

Your manufacturing disappeared because you businesses couldn't compete. The US and all western countries are living in debt. It is no longer about how much you can produce, but how much loan money you can obtain and how little you will have to pay back. Too much subsidised protectionism in the US created an uncompetitive, stagnant place.

Remember that China was already slave labour, indeed it was far, far worse as Mao forced people to farm where they starved. When the revolution began, the factories boomed and the poor began working in these new factories and living standards increased rapidly. Living standards are still increasing, to the extent that some businesses cannot get the workers they want and are returning to their home countries. In China companies organise jobs fares, in the UK this is all about workers selling their talents to prospective employers, but in China it's the businesses that must sell themselves to prospective labour. Wages are advertised on chalk boards and regularly increase during the day as employers get desperate.
