TCM and yin deficiency ?

Recommended Posts

hello,

I have been doing tests and read about TCM and such, and i have been diagnosed by different tcm practitioners and tests that i have yin deficiency.

these links of some tests and what i have been told by some tcm practitioners:

You seem to have several symptoms of a general yin deficiency. The burning of the hands, nervousness and flushing can stem from heart yin deficiency. some of your digestive issues and some of the constant worry could be from spleen qi deficiency. Eczema is commonly caused by damp heat and is probably made worse by your yin deficiency as well.

As for your tongue, the deep centerline crack reflects yin deficiency. The soft, somewhat flaccid texture of the tongue reflects chronic spleen weakness. the bumps of the tongue reflect chronic heat accumulation, which in your case is probably a result of the chronic yin deficiency. it is a little hard to tell but it does look like the front of the tongue is a little brighter red than the rest, which is another sign of heat which has accumulated in the upper."

Can someone explain me the yin energy and how it is absorbed (ground or cosmos..or...) and what food or lifestyle is yin, and techniques and such that may help me in balancing, since i don't have much knowledge in tcm. thanks :)

I saw one guy here who is very good about TCM, his name is Gerard I seen him around here but I do not know if he log in or left the forums. The best if you can ask him as he seems very knowledgeable.

Did you get treatments from these TCM practitioners? That would go a long way to help.

I also think...eat more cooked veggies in every meal, and drink more spring water (if you get thirsty, drink...but don't overdrink).

Go to sleep early.

Just some quick notes:

Your first link, http://imgur.com/a/bqOMz, look like the results from the Questionnaire in Between Heaven and Earth, which I am quite familiar with.  You have severe yin deficiency, which has led to what is called "false fire", not so much an excess of heat, but heat symptoms because your cooling system is not keeping fire under control.

In TCM, "yin" is not "energy" it is bodily fluids of all types in the bod, and while drinking more water may help with thirst, is not necessarily helpful in general especially with what looks like Spleen weakness, indicated by your low physiological earth score.  Judging "by the numbers", you will probably need to take herbs in order to deal with imbalances on this level.  In most cases Chinese herbal formulas can be very useful in restoring a balance of the elements, which will result in the disappearance of the symptoms.

Your second link, http://imgur.com/a/xD1Tz, is harder to interpret, because I am not clear what questions were asked, which is important, but I would tend to trust the first one more than the second and trying to put them together, if you have an excess of Yang, it is more a matter of Yin Deficiency, again your Yin not being able to keep the yang in balance.

I hope this is helpful.  Unfortunately I don't have more time right now.

and obligatory advice to tone down the jerking off

jing leakages are generally volitional (kammic) in nature, so herbs may only get you so far. best to get to the root if you can, balancing lifestyle, behaviours, attitude etc. shit can go pretty deep.

Self-medication is wrong! You will only mess your entire system. Please go see a qualified and sensitive (word of mouth is the best way of knowing this) professional who will slowly put you back in track. Remember that your system will be constantly evolving after each herbal treatment so no herbal prescription will be identical.

Good luck. :)

Dislike button. Where is it?

That's only a gimmick. A pure profitable business by a shady individual.

Get real good quality raw herbs prescribed by a qualified professional (Chinese herbal medicine is the most difficult/complex area of Chinese Medicine) which you will decoct yourself. In China this service is provided for free, unfortunately for the rest of us.
