Anyone familiar with a Taiwanese cult called the Dao Cultivators?

Recommended Posts

My mother is a follower of yi guan dao, but I am not.

They study a lot but don't practice.

Typical of religion, it's for people who don't practice (much)

The difference between religion and spiritual practice is that in religion people go to hear what someone (who may be power or money hungry)  wants you to think that some realizer said; while in a spiritual practice people work to become realizers themselves.

Most Taiwanese don't care about other people's religions are cult or not.

But I heard a lot of Chinese people like to call other religions as a cult.

Because Chinese don't have religions for many years.

These years, they open a lot, then a lot of religions went into China and a lot of new religions started.

Many Chinese want to be rich by creating a new religion and become a great master to earn a lot of money.

So that is why their government notice this situation and worry about the cult.

Since the times of Deng Xiao Ping the Chinese government is less worried about individuals with money, what is motive of worry is individuals with power outside the structure and ideology of the CCP.
