qicat Posted April 29, 2017 Paul Dong did a book about this: China's Super Psychics Paperback – October 14, 1997 Description "According to Paul Dong, the Chinese health discipline chi gong generates psychic abilities--which may explain China's numerous psychics and why, since 1982, the Chinese government has been studying and supporting the work of psychics for medical and military purposes. Dong is the author of Chi Gong: The Ancient Chinese Way to Health. 25 photos." Another book of his that connects to this subject is the following: Empty Force: The Power of Chi for Self-Defense and Energy Healing Paperback – January 19, 2006 Description "Ling Kong Jing, the "Empty Force," is the highest martial arts skill in China. This extraordinary technique harnesses the power of chi, the body's vital energy, enabling masters of the art to defend themselves against opponents without making physical contact. The book takes readers step by step from theory to the actual practice used to generate Empty Force and shows how to use its remarkable power for healing as well as self-defense." Comments: Lots of fun stories. But the real benefit of this book is in it's teaching new people the basics of standing postures, which is the secret sauce behind a lot of these abilities. Once it's understood that certain tissues of the body (fascia) have semiconductive properties, and I theorize, room temperature superconductive properties, given certain conditions, and that the bones have both piezoelectrical, and pyroelectrical properties, then a number of so-called "magickal" abilities can be explained by current scientific understanding. Cheers! Well, that's what I am saying. If you have gold right in front of you, why would you NOT use it? I actually see nothing "unusual" if there actually ARE programs like this ( as long as they don't separate families and not inject kids with weird stuff... but hey... isn't there a movie/TV show about it as well... "Fringe"... plus a number of Marvel's comics:P)
Infolad1 Posted April 29, 2017 Well, that's what I am saying. If you have gold right in front of you, why would you NOT use it? And as a professional creative (comic book artist/writer/illustrator), I'll be the first to say that truth can truly be stranger than fiction. Cheers!
Jaguar Posted May 8, 2017 (edited) I'm surprised no one mentions Thomas Campbell, who him in another scientist Dennis, where the original scientist conducting experiments with Robert Monroe in a lab setting which lead to the creation of Hemi-Sync and the Gateway Experience tapes. He has quite a few videos on you tube now, and going around giving lectures to universities or talks around the world. So this document is not so ground breaking. So he's able to parallel process into other reality frames. For instance he can be driving his car and also be in another "reality frame" maybe speaking to other NPM entities. ( term in his book "My Big Toe" meaning Non-physical Matter, or not of this reality frame). His talks are delivered in a very left-brain approach to spiritualism, which he understands is needed to evolve the western form of consciousness, especially to academics who are fueling the "religion of science". When the truth is real spirituality is harmonious with science. I do have a lot of respect for what he's doing. Anyways, In terms of relating this to Daoism, I find it quite interesting, and would like a discussion to whom anyone has anything to chime. So for example why does he have a much easier time reaching altered states of consciousness naturally ( His first meditation class which was attracted by him through natural curiosity, he found to easily access what he calls "point consciousness" in other words, a deep meditation state most likely between theta and delta brainwave states). I'm theorizing, in relation to Daoist terms, his pre heaven Qi is pretty solid. Simply, an old soul with a lot of practice under his reincarnation belt. What I'm curious about and have been thinking about lately in my personally spiritual practice, is that sleeping on my back seems to induce that hypnagoic state or out of body state quite easily. Although I've came across, some Chinese, and Japanese internal alchemy training philosophies that it's not good to sleep on your back since your energies can be easily sucked off by Yin Spirits. So I've been taking advice from yogic and chinese alchemy traditions to sleep on my right side. Thomas Campbell advice is to let whatever attack you in this state kill you. Thus getting over the fear of death into another state of frequency or entering a state being more conductive to "astral travel" (Which is just a shift of consciousness into another "data stream") or "growing" as he says "lowering entropy" for spiritual evolution. This could be mean, accepting ones own death, reduces fear, and that fear which is a state of being and energy cannot be easily manipulated into energy draining by other entities. I experiment with both traditional yogic or daoist practice and Thomas Campbell's advice (which is a lot more simplistic and rational in regards to self discovery and not favoring beliefs but "knowing"). As he says, the proof is in the pudding, conduct your own scientific observations in your practice in order to gather results through experience. allinone Posted May 8, 2017 (edited) Astral travelers can't bring evidence that the astral "data stream" information is more than 50% of waking reality. If its 49% then in a long run the system destroy itself, disappears. Psychics can't predict lottery numbers nor human decisions, there is something what prevents it. Like dharma of "when you know how things going to be then they won't go that way". How you can predict is if you know how nature acts. Like how gas acts if introduced to fire. That same knowledge forms in your mind that next time you know it. I suspect that the astral realms are those, your past experiences. If you haven't changed much or don't walk with open eyes then its strikingly similar to this world add here wrong assumptions and getting excited about it and loss of all critical thinking. -------------------- Also the most important thing is i can't astral travel. When i read about astral traveling then i get an assumption that it is you go out of the body you also should get real data, so bringing evidence of going OBE would be a piece of cake. Something else is going on and is ignored when to read the excited people claims of obe. (does my envy show up?). I try to set envy aside, i feel i should not ask questions but just accept people claims of being days in lucid dreams and think i miss something important if i don't achieve the same.
