It is described in the first or second paper on the project,  but I just moved and stuff like that are in a box 📦,  somewhere.

I am going to take this discussion to an entire new level,  that is,  even lower than before. You may grade my attempt,  I accept grades in 1-5 vomit emoticons.

I am going to prove that I am the only logical and rational person in this thread,  by posting a chain of proven events.

1) The coolest scientific paper presented here so far is the copper wall projekt.

2) People trained in EQH was more powerful than meditators.

3) Ken Cohen got the best result.

4) Ken Cohen teaches Shaolin Nei Jing Yi Zhi Chan as his EQH practice.

5) I practice Shaolin Nei Jing Yi Zhi Chan.

That makes me the rational dude, following the best objective evidence at the moment. This also makes the rest of you guys and gals irrational, following your dreams and hopes based on lesser levels of evidence.

Ok, so there are some confounders in this.

Like, I am not Ken Cohen.

Like, he also practices other stuff.

And this is only relevant in the presence of a copper wall.

A cup of tea anyone?

So some questions I see mention of voltage and amplitude but not of amperage,  I assume Kohen is subject number 11, but can't find any reference to that on his website or anywhere else.

Don't get me wrong I really appreciate this, and I think it's really awesome.

Thanks again for posting.

Haha, I like it ;)

What did you Tibetans use this arrangement (Copper wall) for? Do you know? It's a serious question, I am not sure if I missed it when reading that paper.

" INTRODUCTION

The meditation literature of the last century includes a curious reference to
electrical isolation of student monks from ground while they sit in front of a
copper wall and beneath a bar magnet. Specifically, a letter from a meditation
teacher to A. P. Sinnett, editor of The Pioneer, the best known English-language
newspaper of India in 1882, said:

The methods used for developing lucidity in our chelas [student monks in
Tibet] may be easily used by you. Every temple has a dark room, the north
wall of which is entirely covered with a sheet of mixed metal, chiefly copper,
very highly polished, with a surface capable of reflecting in it things, as well
as a mirror. The chela sits on an insulated stool, a three-legged bench placed
in a flat-bottomed vessel of thick glass. . .. A magnet with the North Pole
up is suspended over the crown of the chela's head without touching it. [The
chela is left] alone gazing on the wall. ... I "

My guess is, he is so established that this is a very small part of his identity.

Mentioning it in some contexts might be enough for him.

That is just a guess though, I have never met the man.

If it was me, ........

Do you mean amperage instead of amplitude?

If you will read the paper they refer to "high-amplitude voltage surges" quite often, but never amperage.

I made a typo because their use of the word amplitude, but no mention of amperage was on my mind while typing.

It has been revised to: "So some questions I see mention of voltage and amplitude but not of amperage"

Thanks for pointing that out it has been corrected.

Well, potential difference reflects energy involved, flux then depends on impedance.  Change in current as a function of time would provide some insight into capacitance and generation, which would be valuable, but I think I would consider those subsequent and ancillary to probing the field itself.  Good question, though!

It is worth pointing out your hypocrisy here.

Actually it appears to not be worth it.  People have been doing it for years and he still doesn't see it.

Not for that individual's benefit but for the forum readers who follow.

I think the greatest value in these periodic enrollment drives is the opportunity they provide for character study.  I find them quite fascinating.  Little to nothing is revealed about MoPai but that doesn't hold true for the disavowed acolytes who come here to proselytize periodically.

I agree, I was thinking that but wanted to leave it up to you to say it, you know, the more posts the better.

You would think, at least I did, that someone would not be so foolish as to embarrass themselves and their hero by doing this kind of thing, but apparently they are.  Will wonders never cease?

Worshippers - pffft.

Bow down to the great Chang!

Oh wait, I heard he was dead.

Then who are we all supposed to be bowing down to anyway?

I recently discovered that Long Men Pai is Dragon Gate sect.  It is nothing like More Pie, they are lying to impress people.  I'll bet it boosts their ego a lot though..

StarJumper,

I am not doubting that yes some person living in their parents basement, working a minimum wage job, and selling Ultimate Qigong DVDs might actually have unlocked the secrets of the universe.

I am open to that possibility,  I fully understand that by refusing to listen to that teacher I could be missing out the biggest thing since sliced bread.

But this is how I think, and others in the group think.  We need objective (such as video) evidence for something, and need there to be scientists and medical doctors present to rule out fraud.

If we can obtain that we will pursue it, and if we can't we won't.

From your perspective we are close minded fundamentalists, but from our perspective we are doing our due diligence, being reasonable, and rational individuals.

I truly regret that our mindset or epistemology upsets you so much.

The only thing I can think is that if you don't like what we offer, find something you do like like better.

Best wishes.

You are confused.  I only read the book, and that was enough for me.  Why would I want to travel to China to be outer door student of someone when I was able to become an inner door student of someone in my own city who was more advanced that Whatsisname, and more advanced than Mr. Chang too.

Wait, don't tell me, he didn't make a video with doctors watching.

Actually he did get a kind of miraculous report from some doctors but there's no video of it.  Tsk tsk.

I was gonna ask about data again, and maybe ask about those systems which actually have scientists and medical doctors as practitioners but it look like someone's feelings are getting hurt so I'll wait until later.

You can ask about it again Brian, but the answer will be the same.  I am not going to play your game, you'll have to find someone else.

Also bringing in locked PPD discussions into other threads is exactly why I'm not going to share personal experiences here.

Brian I wish you the best man, but I am not interested in having a discussion with you.

I like this version better,  thank you for editing out the offensive wording.

There really is no reason for all this anger and hatred being direct at our group.

Best Wishes.

Anger and hatred?  You are mistaken.  No one here is mad at you, we're just laughing at you.  We don't even want you to get banned because you provide such  an excellent insight into the thought processes of MPG's "MoPai" group.

Thanks, actually I wish you well too Mr. Coffee, I wish you the best ... it's just that this thread is the kind of place that begs for teasing and joking  Sometimes I just can't understand why people think I'm angry, because really there was no anger involved.  I was just teasing and trolling you and wanted to see how you would react.  Note that I did not direct the comment at you but it was an open ended question to the moderators.
