Is this a Kunlun Forum ?

Should we keep discussing Kunlun?

  1. 1. This forum seems to be focussing on Kunlun alone - people speaking for/against it - neither making much sense.

    • Continue discussing Kunlun

    • Restrict Kunlun to a single thread

This forum seems to be focusing on Kunlun alone - people speaking for/against it - neither making much sense. There have not been much of other stuff discussed here of late. Too much of sensationalism, too much of unnecessary criticism....

Should we keep discussing Kunlun? At this rate? Or we restrict Kunlun to a single thread?

A kunlun forum is in the works. I am excited to see what it will look like.

I think people should talk about whatever except maybe be a little more respectful. The anti-kunlun posts don't have much to say except "kunlun is bs, my system is better", after reading the same thing 20 times get's old.

If you want to talk about another system just start a new thread.

I think let people talk about whatever, i like reading and posting on Kunlun as i enjoy reading peoples new levels and attainments in there practices. I know one thing this site has boosted MAX and his kunlun through the roof with sales and was perfect timing with great webdesign to get many more in. VERY SMART!!!

As long as people are happy with there practice you will always get some people disagreeing.

There are lots other threads here, too. The Kunlun are simply the ones wih more respondings. I think this forum is quite fair: the posts with more replies stay "up" in the range.

If people would reply more to other things it would change.

So in the end it is fair: the interest of the people (positive or negative) estimate the outcome of what is being discussed here.

Everybody is free to post or reply to what he/she wants and of course also ignore the things he doesnt feel interested about.

Sounds like some kind of good working democracy to me ...

In the end maybe -yes- would be also an idea to have a Kunlun forum just to focus more on this lineage.

The advantage would be more effetiveness in the discussion for people who actually practice the technique. Especially beginners will be less confused by "anti-Kunlun posts" (which are OK when they are being done more respectful than recently here). I think when you have decided to do something with all heart you should go for it for a while to judge and stop reading what everybody things about it. That will make you less confused as a beginner and jumping from one thing to another is not something to dig a deep hole and find water.

On the other hand the discussions here are very colourful(I would wish them to be more respectful because in the end we all have the same goal and I agree with Cameroon that saying something is "bad" and offering something "better" is boring and what is being done in the world every day anyway.).

We do not have to forget one thing:

if someone is very satisfied with what he/she does we should wish him luck. We are all one and we can get inspired by someone else who proceeds on his path and is happy. Even I share some critisism about what is said about the presentation of Kunlun I am more a person to see the outcome of something.

The people who where on a workshop almost all liked it. Sounds like a brilliant outcome to me.

My own experiences with practicing this technique from the book are very good. I practice other methods, too, but I found it to be a very helpful contribution. I respect the thing about transmissions and all of that. But I also feel that if you have a good backround in Neikung/Qi Gong practices you can go for it without transmissions.

So when I will go for a workshop I will do it because I want to feel the teacher and students presenting this system and using it for years. I believe that if you practice good you will have help from the other spheres regardless of transmission or not transmission. If your inner light burns there will be spirits to become interested in supporting you.

I do defintely not deny that a transmission can be a powerful thing. But also it is important in my opinion to take responsibilty in your own progress and trust in it.

So we shall see.

Namaste,

Jan.

This is a forum.

You can read or post what and where you want.

If you don't want to read or write about Kunlun....DONT.

If you have another thread you want to start...DO IT.

By asking about Kunlun you only expanded on the discussion.

The Tao is simple, people want to make it complicated.

I think the issue is, various people just keep making kunlun threads. there's already such an expanse of discussion on it that most arent warranting of a new topic...perhaps sean should make a redirect page when you go to create a new thread that says WAIT! ARE YOU SURE YOU WANT TO MAKE A NEW THREAD? YOU MEAN YOUR ANSWER HASNT ALREADY BEEN POSTED AND DISCUSSED???

Kunlun is very popular. I have even jumped on the wagon and purchased Pillars of Bliss. But it is only a small part of Taoism. My only gripe is that when you post something that is not about Kunlun, it gets buried amongst all the Kunlun chatter. In a day, your post will be on page 3 with minimal views and no replies.

There has been so much information posted about Kunlun, it is hard to sift it out, even using the search feature. A sub thread would be nice.

Kunlun does seem to have some interesting results. So simple too. This what I have heard about root practices.
