moment Posted December 3, 2017 In the early 1960's Bong Han Kim discovered a biological system that lined up exactly with the meridians and acupuncture points of the human body. Shortly afterwards Kim and much of his published research disappeared Prior to that, his research indicated, this system had energy carrying capacities, far beyond any other of the human circulatory systems. The next 50 years saw an active suppression of this research. But, the Bonghan system is now being resurrected as the "Primo Vascular System" by some pretty big names in biology, chemistry and cancer research. It seems that this new research is corroborating much of Bong Han Kim's earlier research. I am interested in how many Dao Bums know of this and what their understanding is of its' spiritual/meditative/health value?
thelerner Posted December 3, 2017 Can't say I've heard of it. What kind of methods does it use? Does it use Forms - ala chi gung? Internal energy meditations - ala nei gong? Diets or belief systems?
moment Posted December 3, 2017 It may possibly be the main carrier system for Ki. So, most systems would be using it in one way or another. It seems that science may be giving us more of a buy-in to certain energy beliefs.
moment Posted December 3, 2017 This new research may be the starting point to scientific integration of matter and spirit as well as, also connecting the Western and Eastern views of the human body.
moment Posted December 4, 2017 It would seem to validate some people's beliefs of moving chi through the meridians by visualization and intent. For the first time in history there is scientific corroboration of many of the neikung/neidan stories of healing and martial power.
