They don't look like dogs, in the beginning I thought they were marsupials, with all those breeds you find out there and some of good calligraphists, I vote to change it.

There's a tree on the left they can use, I think one of them is already eyeing it with interest.  Of course they would have to fight the wolves to get to it, but when you have to go, you have to go.

Two dogs was a cool thing to do since it’s a Earth Dog year but this animal, like a couple of others, is not purely a one element thing, like the Rat being ruled solely by the Water element: Dog has characteristics of both Metal and Earth. 

 

 

Edit: any particular reason why the dog breed being chosen is the Afghan hound?
