Aletheia Posted June 21, 2018 I spend far too much time with this BS when I should really be meditating etc.
Aletheia Posted June 21, 2018 should be able to delete threads like this...
Marblehead Posted June 21, 2018 But you only re-enforce your own opinions and ego when you are meditating because, Hey!, you have to be right because the thought came to your mind. Better to stay active here so we can, now and then, remind you that you are oftentimes wrong. 1

If you believe in an ego you will also have emotional problems, it's kind of self-reenforcing loop. I don't believe in an ego and I don't have emotional problems. And I am right about Ken Wilber, he thinks he's more "grown up" than all the saints, gurus, qigong masters, shaman etc in the history of the world. Never mind that his whole system has a visual bias and he has no qi, plus what he takes for wisdom is actually what in philosophy is called nihilism. He deserves to be critiqued. And that guy drew just wrote a post about he said to me that I was too stupid to understand qigong. I go around the internet offering to help people and all I get in return is abuse and insults. I can take it no problem, and I'm just some guy in my bedroom. I don't claim to know much of anything. Wilber and that coon guy are both paid teachers...

It is an act of supreme ego to believe you can have no ego. IMHO it's best to work on accepting your ego and learning to be compassionate to yourself.

I watched a youtube video the other day about "the rice experiment." Negative emotions are unhealthy -- not something I can afford to impose on myself. Drew just grew a couple of notches in my estimation. He's right you know. 27 minutes ago, Aletheia said: I go around the internet offering to help people and all I get in return is abuse and insults. Aletheia Posted June 22, 2018 21 minutes ago, Lost in Translation said: I have no knowledge of any other threads you refer to. Ken Wilber is making the claim that his spiritual system is the most grown up and evolved the world has known. The analogy would be fat boys training more to become (very mediocre at best) athletes, so those extra hours in the sauna losing fat add up and according to Wilber's reckoning make his system best. Aletheia Posted June 22, 2018 When it comes down to it my qigong progress is pretty good. Not many people can say the same. Or at least they're not willing to bet their house on their abilities. I am open and honest. For whatever reason a lot of people here only want to play pretend games, tell jokes and socialise. I'm not playing pretend. I'm not cheating myself. I'm not a faker. I hardly ever comment negatively, but Wilber is so far up his own ass it's ridiculous and that coon guy is insulting. And I don't believe in egos other than as silly illusions. Your inexact writing made me think that Drew said you were too stupid to understand chi kung. However if Drew says that guy is a fake then I would believe the guy in the video over Drew. I was so taken by the idea of you two fools rejecting each other that I couldn't read straight. Edited June 22, 2018 by Starjumper

A lot of people can and do say the same. However the ones who don't say it or even think about it are often faster. What's the rush anyway? 9 minutes ago, Aletheia said: Or at least they're not willing to bet their house on their abilities. Not a very wise thing to do for people who underestimate their enemies. You say you don't believe in ego but you manifest it greatly. To compete against strangers and bet your house on it is a supreme act of ego, and a great folly ... unless your house is worthless and you don't like it. Starjumper Posted June 22, 2018 These are the different levels of development in chi kung. On the left are average number of years per level in the middle are the levels described in theTai chi classics, on the right are the corresponding ego levels from the book "The Way of Qigong". 0 - 4 yrs - Beginner - Great Expert 4 - 10 yrs - Expert - Big Potato 10 - 30 yrs - Adept - Banana Head 30 - 50 yrs - Master - Nothing Special Aletheia can be seen clearly to be at the first level.

You might start with looking at the three youtube clips that drew used as a base for his thread. And then watch drew build a straw man...... This is not the same as being "outed as a fake". Hope you can see this. Now, if he said you were unintelligent without having you do an IQ test, obviously he was unaccurate. Or just insulting you.... 😁 In which context was this? Maybe he ment something else, like you displayed a behaviour? Rash? Rigid? Stupid? 1

I know that I am useless and that's exactly hw I want it to be. 8 hours ago, Aletheia said: And I am right about Ken Wilber, he thinks he's more "grown up" than all the saints, gurus, qigong masters, shaman etc in the history of the world. Yeah, Drew has a very healthy ego. Always willing to tell anyone his truths. 8 hours ago, Aletheia said: I go around the internet offering to help people and all I get in return is abuse and insults. But keep in mind, there are many silent members here and it's hard telling how many people you have helped or pointed in a more constructive direction. The abuse and insults are a result of you being competition to others who don't want you taking any followers away from them. If you feel you have something to share that could possibly help others then please, share.

Aletheia Posted June 22, 2018 Well if drew is building strawmans I'd go with it because last time I checked I had massive warm magnetic fields with fizzing static vortices around my body and electric energy coming out of my dan tien like forked lightening and can shock my palm with sword fingers when I tense my dan tien. COME ON GUYS WAKE THE FUCK UP!!!
Kar3n Posted June 22, 2018 Nope, no ego here... How long will it take for the straw man's bindings to unravel? 1
Aletheia Posted June 22, 2018 (edited) The ego creates interiors, like you are inside your head, and thinks in linear time. If you realise that linear time is an illusion then interiors and ideas about distance and place begin to break down too. So you have to first get out of thinking linear time is real time because it's most certainly not! So we reach out into the future and retain what is past to make present the clearing of the now. Successive now points on a time-line, past/present/future, as a visual metaphor is pure abstraction, its not really how the concrete world actually is.
