Which direction does prana travel in the ida and pingala channels?

Recommended Posts

I’ve read that prana in the ida and pingala both travel upwards. Is this something they’re absolutely sure about, or does one travel upwards and one travel downwards, like the ren mai and du mai?

They only work on the upwards part, of course what goes up must come down, you don't need to fixate on that Chia crap.

Actually the prana doesn't get out much, but after years of grunting and groaning, for some lucky individuals it goes like this

Then they go back to hell.

Taoism has a different, more practical, smoother, and longer lasting goal, but focussing on the du and ren stuff will never get you there.

Ok, I’ve been reading around, and apparently the prana in the ida channel rises to the head during the inhale, and the prana in the pingala channel descends in the exhale, and every few hours it switches.

Is this right? So what is all this nonsense with both the ida and pingala rising to the head i’ve head so much about?

I don't know about which direction it goes (maybe in with inhale and out with exhale while breathing through the nose)...but in terms of swara yoga, it is very true that there's a mysterious change in which nostril is predominant throughout the day.
