Flying phoenix new member

Recommended Posts

Ive been practicing flying phoenix for a little less than a year and also following the blog here on the dao bums for some time. After it going private recently I decided to go ahead and get membership and perhaps participate in the blog. The blog has been a big help throughout my practice of fpck. My current practice is about an hour in the morning and an hour in the early evening alternating with exercises from volumes 1-3. Ive tried a lot of different qi gong and also practice tai chi and fpck has truly been life changing and eye opening for me. Something about it makes it easy for me to practice consistently. Where ive struggled practicing other styles daily.

thanks

joe

Hello, Lightshadowdao18, and welcome.

Your membership is approved and we're happy you found your way to us. We look forward to accompanying you on some of the way that you still have to go.

Please take the time to read the post pinned at the top of this Welcome page and take a look at the forum Terms and Rules.   This covers all you need to know when getting started.

For the first week you will be restricted to ten posts per day but after that you can post as much as you like. Also, until you’ve posted fifteen times in the forums, you’ll be a “Junior Bum” with somewhat restricted access and will be allowed only two private messages per day.

Good luck in your pursuits and best wishes to you,

Fa Xin and the TDB team

Welcome Joe,

Glad your enjoying the FP thread. What other qigong styles have you done? Welcome.

You are welcome to jump right in to the ongoing discussions, revive an older thread, start a new thread of your own, or start a discussion in the "Newcomer Corner" sub-forum to expand on your introduction or ask general questions to help you get started.

May you enjoy your time here.

Fa Xin

My experiences have been pretty great so far. I'm on my 308th day of consistant practice that I slowly progressed to how long I practice now. One thing I've noticed in particular is my bodies ability to adapt. I work rotating shifts and ever since I've been about 3 months in I can switch shifts with ease. It use to be very difficult and hard on my mind and body. I've also noticed improvement in the flow/relaxation of my tai chi practice. FP has certainly taught me to go slower in all aspects of my life.
