Nungali Posted September 9, 2018 (edited) Broom is good weapon ! I teach it in my 'protect your legal rights' component of 'self defence' . Here, if someone breaks into your house and you club em with your staff, thats assault . So I teach people to have a story handy ; dont say "Well, he broke into my home and tried to attack me so I clubbed him with my bo (or jo) ... no no no . You have to say; I feared, I went into a panic, I thought he was going to kill me, I backed away and was up against the wall, my hands felt behind me and I grabbed a broom to defend my life with ... during his attack, the brush part fell off the broom handle . " However . some 'household objects' (or gardening objects ) need no modification . 'kuwa' (hoe) : I suggest when training against the kuwa , to be wearing steel capped shoes ! (its a fav attack - across the toes of your lead foot ... oooch! ) Edited September 9, 2018 by Nungali 1

That's a good way to see it too.

I just told someone the other day that if they knew the joy I got from sweeping the floor, they would stop searching for things to make them happy.

Nungali Posted October 5, 2018 (edited) Ummmm ... not sure abut that . My GF of that time did it ( Wicca, up to 2nd degree) too. And she would go off and do stuff with her Witchy - poo mate who had her own ( a different ) coven. She was rad, promiscuous , did this and that, including ritual magic, herbalism etc . Now ? She is a born again Christian devoted to Jesus But me .... I'm still 'Daork - sided' - Do not watch more than 30 seconds of the following vid - it could damage your 'receptacles' Well, she is a born again Christian . Marblehead Posted October 5, 2018 I couldn't deal with the entire video. Had to stop. The lady needs to be institutionalized. Born Again Christians and reformed alcoholics - not much difference between the two.

Your not supposed to WATCH THE WHOLE THING ! How much did you watch ? I didnt last more than 30 secs . 8 hours ago, Marblehead said: Born Again Christians and reformed alcoholics - not much difference between the two. Oh no, this woman was never an alcoholic .... ..... she had some time as a heroin addict before hand , if that counts ? Spoiler Let's see ; after I kicked her out, she got an ex-crim BF, had a kid to him, he abused her, she got a junkie BF, he got busted, she got busted tying to take stuff to him in jail, lost all her professional credentials, and her friends , no one else would have a bar of her ..... then .... except Jesus . ..... he took away all that bad stuff now . I suppose thats sorta like 'psychological heroin ' ?
Marblehead Posted October 6, 2018 I don't recall how much I watched but I agree, I watched too much. I need to stop here as anything more I would say would not be pretty.

And I feel that this will remain in my memory for some time. It is terrible to think that many people experience a regular overdose with similar subjects. But now I understand how much happier my life has become after I stopped watching TV. Edited October 6, 2018 by Pavel Karavaev

Wu Ming Jen Posted October 6, 2018 If anyone is interested in broom kung fu there are 10,000 steps that need some attention.
zerostao Posted October 10, 2018 The little sidekick I have been hanging with the past few weeks made creative use of a broomstick when a neighbors pig wandered into the yard waking us when her dogs began barking at the small pig. She grabbed a broomstick and began gently sweeping the grass. She wasn't even close to the pig but the sweeping of the broom was in the direction of the pig. Somehow this broom sweeping sent the pig scurrying back to its home. Three barking dogs and a few bites from them didn't force the pig out of the yard. However, the gentle sweeping of a broom did the charm.
