Good thing I have never claimed to be an expert of anything.

But I agree with the concept being presented in the video.

Yes - not claiming to be an expert of anything is the safest thing one could do. But next best is only claiming to know those things that one actually knows something about. It would also become problematic for our society when the real experts of today would hide in obscurity. How would we than get to know their informed opinion?

Everyone is an expert at something. Everyone can feel always in the moment of every now moment, wether they are allowing the flowing of their natural expertise fully or not. In other words, the expertise is always flowing, but when you feel less than good, you are flowing that expertise in self contradiction, which then doesn't allow the expertise to fully flow for yourself. That is why a mathematical genius can experience tremendous negative emotion when you offer them incorrect calculations or number sequences. Because they do not harmonize with the greater truth they have come to know. But first and foremost they have come to feel their way into the knowing of this ever expanding truth of perfect beauty and elegance.

Their core knowing is a non physical ever expanding thing that requires no effort or rush in expression. So the joy is in the journey of ever evolving expansion of simple knowledge that forever builds upon itself and all the blessed individual experiences that come with that ever expanding momentum of conscious ability to focus in harmony with their ever expanding greater knowing and nature. It's the joy of all the individual small steps, this includes all the releasing of resistance of those who claim to know it all and beautiful home coming of them to their realization of how expansive the knowledge always is. And the ease of relaxing into the ever lasting you niversity that is unique for every single individual. And joyoush delight of treading your own uniquely wonderful unique individual journey through all your unique and infinitely valuable discoveries in this youniverse that we call life. And wonders of sharing and blending perspectives and building of new perspectives for yourself or together with others. The joy of forever creating, for the joy of creating and the joy of the creations.

You're always gonna reach for better perspectives than the one you currently hold, so as you allow the simple and easy path that this life is intended to be, you will joyoushly make forever more tremendous amount of progress. Because you're no longer trying to reach the end, you can now allow yourself to move beyond the beginning. 

Because you know the fun is ment to last forever. So there is no rush. Just the enjoyment of the natural path that is satisfaction. That is easy and always infinitely succesful.

To the extent that experts are shown to be reliably correct factually , they deserve to be considered expert.

Events should show them to be correct factually. But..

To the extent that the facts do not line up with their views ,

they should consider themselves as inexpert as the lowliest dunce. 

No credit whatsoever , for expertness is deserved , if their assertions do not pan out,

regardless of the paper trail they've made,

since all their experience has left them .. Wrong. 

 

To the extent that they confuse their own opinion with fact , they are clearly wrong. 

If experts disagree, then it should be considered that those people are not on secure ground as being expert in that area,

merely that they have familiarity with the issue.

 

True expertness should be represented with extreme care , about the degree of security with which one should consider the reliability of an assertion. From this expression of humility, one should recognize doubt where one should apply it, and place confidence where it is deserved, and only then should an expert be confident that their expertness was not misrepresented. 

If this was done,  all those 'inexperts' could trust more , benefit more ,

and obviate the need to try to get informed on everything from prehistory,  to Spanish rice.

The question is,, whether those who are so certain , are the ones getting called experts,  or if it refers to those who are novice.

the whole problem with the world is the "THE" authors penciling around with their pencils trying very hard to take out THEIR large wooden spoons----( spoons) and stir the pot to create controversy.....then turn around and pin it on you...……….

I largely agree. There are many things about which we are not certain, and the experts should admit that. Particularly in the medical, social and political sciences one has to be very careful with claiming something to be a good thing or not. Results (even spectacular ones!) have to be carefully replicated before they can be considered as being established facts. There is also a responsibility of the press to not blow things up to epic proportions which are still in the process of being investigated. Such spectacular claims often have to be retracted afterwards leaving the public with the false impression that science is just saying this today and that tomorrow and is better ignored altogether. But yes - scientists are not absolutely certain about anything. This however should not go so far as to conclude that science is just another opinion. There is a careful balance to be found here.

 

What we see today is that people shamelessly and openly start from their own ill-informed preconceptions, search the internet for concurring views of whatever quality, completely ignore arguments opposing their own viewpoint, and then start spamming discussions with a barrage of quotes and links that overwhelm those participants that try to have a decent discussion on the basis of questions, answers and reasoned arguments. You cannot win from an idiot who completely ignores your carefully reasoned arguments, and keeps posting one stupidity after the other that he wrongfully imagines to proof his point. Those who actually know something of the subject under discussion will then simply be washed away by the sheer amount of nonsense. So sooner or later the more knowledgeable participants will leave the discussion, and stupidity will reign supreme.

I have no problem with loud mouths on You Tube, that's just their own podium that I have a choice to visit or not. The problem are those loud mouths that invade decent discussions to post a barrage of nonsense. Those loud mouths will win out regardless of whether they are right or wrong simply by reason of the sheer volume of their "contributions" .

Aint that the truth! But I dont know what to do for it. The old sources that were trusted as true have lost that trust. We get inundated with factoids of dubious value and are faced with having to decide for ourselves. Is it so wrong to seek a community with opinions that fit our own? 

Btw Channel 13 news here thinks itd newsworthy that someone found a snake that had swallowed a golf ball. 

I figure they pick off a shelf recent stories by subject, to fill time. Nothing is researched, its Not examined for value. 

There was an art festival at lake Eola today... and we are telling you after the fact so we can use footage of people milling around.
