The Tories have to be looking towards the next general election (Under a new leader) and need to safeguard their funding. It is difficult to imagine that any person of sound mind could find themselves voting for any of the main parties, but history has shown us that the electorate have amazingly short memories. I stopped watching all regular TV about five years ago and the main reason was the BBC. Of course ITV and channel 4 are almost as bad but at least they aren't funded from the public purse. To be honest all media seems to be manipulated and affected/infected with what can only be described as cultural chaos and a societal sickness. I think people are reeling trying to find some peace and happiness by drinking deeper of the waters of discontent, materialism and the promise of free beer tomorrow! Oh and the promise of a Utopia if we stay in the EU!!!! Fortunately people are sick of being sick and are waking up just-in-time to save themselves and their countries.
