TigerJin Posted January 21, 2019 So, as I read more and more qigong books, I see all kinds of exercises I can do. It's got me wondering what kinds of exercises I can do back-to-back. Like, if in a gym workout, you can do chest, back, legs. Can I do the same kind of thing with qigong? Like do micro/macro orbit. Then do transport training. End with something else. Â Anyone got qigong training regimes like this? I'm curious what one looks like.
Robert Posted January 22, 2019 I do 8 brocades followed by Yi Jin Jing. This is after 20 minutes of meditation.
Astral Monk Posted February 9, 2019 Any legit qigong system will have a prescribed order of exercises. It isnt like lifting--you cant just do a bunch of random things in a row. Its more like building a tower, brick by brick--you cant work on the 3rd floor coffee room till you get to the 3rd floor. Â So its best not to look at isolated exercises, but at whole systems. Depending on your needs and goals, a systematic program might begin with active exercises (like baduanjin) and finish with static postures (standing post or meditation) or vice versa.
