Gerard Posted February 15, 2008 Anyone else get this? Do you know the cause or have a solution to it?   LOL! You are experiencing dibba-sota. Nothing to worry about, it will remain with you until you disappear physically from this plane of existence as long as you practice regular meditation. The only remedy to that is stopping but I am pretty sure you don't want to do that, do you?  http://www.orientalia.org/dictionary-Buddh...11-abhinna.html http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abhijna  Also read this as the progression in your meditative practice is sequencial.   Take care. Also sometimes I hear a gurgling noise like the noise water and suction make.
satyagraha Posted February 15, 2008 Thanks for the info. Although I am not sure if it is devine hearing. It seems more like muscle spasms at or near the ear drums. I can feel it when it happens. Also sometimes I hear a gurgling noise like the noise water and suction make. this could very well be your third eye opening. when i meditate i hear clicks, cracks, feel lots of pressure, and hear flutering. I hear the gurgling as well, it is just your brain adjusting.
mentalground0 Posted February 15, 2008 i've experienced a fluttering/wind rushing noise as well, but it's not just in meditation...i've had it happen in various points of my life, usually when something intense is going on. at this point in my life i can make it happen on command, but i had no idea it was a divine hearing thing. interesting.
