Breathing Techniques

I am requesting the mods to make this thread a sticky if possible.

 

What are your breathing techniques?

 

I like to share some of mine.

 

1-2, 2-4, 3-6, 4-8, 5-10, 6-12, 7-14, 6-12, 5-10, 4-8, 3-6, 2-4, 1-2 

 

Breath in 1 time. Breath out 2 times.

 

Breath in 2 times. Breath out 4 times. 

 

Breath in 3 times. Breath out 6 times. 

 

Breath in 4 times. Breath out 8 times.

 

 Breath in 5 times. Breath out 10 times. 

 

Breath in 6 times. Breath out 12 times. 

 

Breath in 7 times. Breath out 14 times. 

 

Breath in 6 times. Breath out 12 times.

 

Breath in 5 times. Breath out 10 times. 

 

Breath in 4 times. Breath out 8 times. 

 

Breath in 3 times. Breath out 6 times.

 

 Breath in 2 times. Breath out 4 times. 

 

Breath in 1 time. Breath out 2 times.

Well I didn't know that trying to achieve anything has anything to do with breath-work or the sharing of breathing techniques.

 

Maybe you can explain more about your question?

Well for a start there's shamatha breath counting to calm the mind and there's pranayama to move energy - also various qi gong breathing including abdominal breathing, reverse abdominal and enbryonic breathing and so on.

There are systems and practices that incorporate breathing techniques for different results.  Ever hear of pranamaya, Win Hof or embryonic breathing?
