Cutting through the ego

Recommended Posts

One of the hardest tasks of every single spiritual practitioner is the ability to cut through reality and understand that, on the one hand, there is no such thing as I, me, us and them; and on the other, reality as such is defined by the thinking mind. Once we grasp this and work towards emptiness we are in the right path to truly achieve Buddhahood.

The spiritual path is a double-edged sword since leaning on the wrong side can easily make you believe that there is a defined you, and as a result you are most likely to fail. We have seen this happening too many times.

This page makes a very good reading and help you to understand that conquering the ego is one of the biggest obstacles on the spiritual path:

Crown Center Activation removes neural connectivity to the ego center...leaving only the self and Tao to inform awareness.

edit: IOW enlightenment.

daoist view:

there is no "I", this is just a basic truth. we are an accumulation of experience and different impulses.

that's it.

and if we dont cultivate, we will this "federation" of impulses will dissolve after death,

what we are called to do, is to find the true center, the hole at the center of the wheel, that can assemble a being able to live forever and have creative ability bigger than we can ever imagine

the purpose of the universe is creation and perpetuation of awareness, as long as we align ourselves with this intent, we are immortal

good luck
