old3bob Posted February 8, 2020 we often hear, "darkness is the absence of light", (which is true in basic science) but for a long time I've had another take on that saying in the spiritual sense as: darkness is light that has been twisted into darkness.... so untwist it and what do you get? Another thing that we often hear is, "all is one" which is fine or true from an "absolute, ultimate, beyond the beyond", abstraction that ultimately is not an abstraction.... yet in the meantime what are unknown numbers of souls supposed to do with what to many of them is a pie in the sky platitude that is inapplicable in their lives? The cosmic game of being between a rock and hard place plays on to make us strong? Who wants to take five?
silent thunder Posted April 27, 2020 (edited) What is the speed of Dark? Humans, with our perceptual apparatus and our combined technology interact with slightly less than 5% of the universe. Light as perceived by human eyes is fractional. (And interpreted.) Darkness is not an absense of light, Darkness is the mind's interpretation of the limit of human visual capabilities. Darkness is full of unperceived light that lies beyond the ken of human physical perceptual modeling. Darkness is full of light. Sound is downright ear shatteringly loud. Emptiness is not empty, it contains everything. Edited April 27, 2020 by silent thunder grammar 1
C T Posted April 28, 2020 (edited) Silence can be infinitely loud because of how its supposed to be resonated by one's whole being, and not just through the confines of the auditory spectrum. In effect, more significant than mere listening, silence is amplified to a greater degree via the doors of the other senses, to be then absorbed by laying aside, dropping, or forgetting these entrances all together.
