Heartbreak Posted February 11, 2020 I am wondering if I can breathe through my mouth with my tongue sticking to the roof of my mouth? To perform the Golden Flower Meditation must I only breathe through my nose or can I breathe through my mouth?
ReturnDragon Posted February 11, 2020 If you want to breathe in all the dust and germs, do it with your mouth. If not, do it with your nose.

thelerner Posted February 12, 2020 (edited) Nose breathing tends to be slower and more relaxing. Though in hot humid weather it can be better to breathe in from nose, out thru mouth. Long term, breathing through the mouth dries it and the throat out. For Wim Hof breathing exercises where fast deep breaths are required, I tend to do 20 nose, the last 10 through mouth. liminal_luke Posted February 12, 2020 Not related to OP especially, but many advocate taping the mouth shut before bed to prevent mouth breathing while sleeping. Best done with special tape designed for mouth taping or surgical tape.
