Aside from the problem that 'giving up a woman '    suggests in the first place  - I would, and have more than once .

 

But lets say it was not a matter of 'giving her up'  but support ?     Not many people can  do this, or even consider it , or even know why they should consider it .

 

What's that saying ? Possession  is 9/10s of the law .

 

Many a time I had my absolutely  gorgeous  fun young ex around here so I could play with her kids  (as kids and  had deep bonding  and enjoyed each others company) while she played flirty lovey dovey  over tea and cakes ( which I made for them ) with her new lover at my garden table .  Often I would baby sit so they could go out .   

 

Why ?   Because I wanted to spend time with the kids . And I liked to see her happy .

 

Of course HE couldnt handle that and eventually forbade it ,  he was a rouge Scientologist absolute fuck wit.  he tried subverting me and went on 'magical attack', eventually  forbidding contact between me and the 3 little guys that grew up with me  . They got married, he got her pregnant, ran up a huge debt and died within 3 months , leaving her alone, destitute and now with 4 kids . 

 

I saw it coming but ... mhe , what ya gonna do !     Fight with your GF about leaving you because you can see  the imminent disaster coming  for her  and try to convince her THIS is why she should not leave and it has nothing to do with  me being jealous  ?   

 

Such is life  ...   an death .

I still haven't figured out if being accused of being a woman by Heartbreak should be taken as a compliment given how much he loves Asian women or if I should be creeped out for the same reason.  Either way, I'm an Asian guy, just sayin'.

Its pretty much up to her. 

 

There's a mindset of 'hold on, maybe I can do better' that is not always healthy.  I was reading a travel blog on a woman who left New York City for a town in France.  She said NYC was rotten with that mentality.  Almost every meeting, every date had that conditionality, 'Yes, unless I can do better'.   She found it an insidious poison, that sapped happiness.  Can I Do Better, can i do better? 

 

It tended to be the enemy of contentment now.  Do we really know if the man's better and can give her more happiness?  Probably not, it could be our insecurity speaking.   I wouldn't make the sacrifice, but I might lay out the choice.

I can vouch for the dangers around this. In 1986 we studied with Mantak Chia in Minneapolis St. Paul  over the course of several weekends. Over the next several years on at least two occasions while practicing retention methods, very hot energy was stuck in my sacrum which was extremely painful! Luckily I seem to have a way of figuring my way out of self imposed messes. 
 

Your advice is well said and I doubt Heartbreaker will heed the warning. When he is bent over in a fetal position in pain then perhaps he will remember this advise. Or not!
