mewtwo Posted March 26, 2008 (edited) Hi I think this will be my last post here, and I was wondering what are some of the differences between taoism and buddhism? thanks. Edited March 26, 2008 by mewtwo
Yoda Posted March 26, 2008 I like to think that for a Buddhist, life is suffering and for a taoist, life is fun. So the Buddhists want to get out of it and taoists want more of it. Â That's just my own home brew philosophy on it and I'm likely quite mistaken.
Ian Posted March 26, 2008 I like to think that for a Buddhist, life is suffering and for a taoist, life is fun. Â I thought this, mainly at Michael Winn's prompting, but for a while now, all the happiest people I've met have been buddhists. Â The distinction, nowadays, and the reason why what you say is often true, is, imo, that most taoists inhabit their bodies, or try to, and most buddhists don't. Â But it doesn't have to be so. Â Big bouncing buddha bodies bring best benefits!
