Hello from Montreal.

This past year has put a lot into perspective for me, as I've had many of my relationships lost or diminished, and I want to further explore my deep-rooted interests and passions for the Taoist tradition and the wisdom therein. 

 

First off I am wondering if there is anyone in Montreal here? Would really value some local resource if there existed any.

 

And secondly, if there are any recommendations on programs/courses/etc on dedicated Taoist studies, ideally directly with a master?

Hi dariusdias, I know we have some Canadians amongst us.  Lots of Taoist programs out there, but ones where you train directly with a master.  Like w/ Wang LiPing kind of master, that gets expensive.  Many many thousands, extensive travel and ofcourse you won't be an advance class.. probably just a public 'basics' kind of thing.  Until you've built up expertise and trust over many years.   

 

We're an eclectic philosophy forum for learning, discussing and cultivation.  Below are 3 important sections: Our Rules, The Insult Policy and our 3 Foundations.  Before you join give them a read. 

 

Most of it boils down to being respectful.  No name calling or trolling.  Post as if your mom's looking over your shoulder.  Discussion and arguments are what the board is about.  Keep it civil, don't get personal.  Don't be a troll or one issue zealot. 

 

We're here for good conversation and making some friends along the way, to be a community.  Jump right in, start threads, ask questions, look for interesting threads and post your (relevant) thoughts.
